The government of Israel have to act as if the hostages are already dead. To give in just lays the ground work for them to do it again, and again and so on.
Israel is mobilizing 300,000 reservist. When the order to enter Gaza is given Israelis are going to die but so is Hamas.

In the fog of war there probably little difference between an Israeli killed by Hamas’s initial attack and an Israeli hostage killed by Hamas.
The media tries to spin that there is a difference as they contend Israel is only allowed a ‘proportional response’.

These are evil monsters. They murdered Grandmothers and then carried the family off, laughing. They raped young women, then carried them off, blood coming from between their legs. Consider it a war. A war wherein the enemy lives under no rules, and the people support that (cheer in the streets). The hostages are already dead, IMHO. Hamas and its ‘supporters’ will taunt, torture, rape, and murder and nothing will stop that.
Then consider Gen Sherman words, let there be cruelty. The 2 million people of the West Bank should travel quickly to friendly Arab counties, like Iran. Everybody left in the West Bank is dead or a target after 14 days warning. Destroy every building, bulldoze everything, poor salt into the soil.
Think Romans and Carthage. Military bases only on Gaza, no civilians ever.

No, they don’t. Every rational analysis of this is that the hostages are essentially appear dead and can’t survive this. It may have worked had they not raped and tortured the captives. Then they could have quickly released photos of them being well treated.
But the way they acted has most people convinced they are already dead.
But their announcement does reveal that the bombing is hurting them already.
