The Israeli losses are predicted to exceed 1,000 dead.
It is inconceivable that the IDF had NO ready forces positioned in the South or the North to deal with potential violence on the anniversary of 1973.
At the same time, the Arabs did what they never do. They shut up.
In this sense, it’s reminiscent of two conditions.
First, Custer and his column were annihilated because the hostile tribes did something they had never done:
They united and stood their ground. Normally, they were divided and fled as soon as Army Regulars showed up.
He rushed in thinking that if he did not, the hostiles would fleet. It’s also reminiscent of the Bulge.

Egypt will be unable to sit it out. Jordan may fall apart under the pressure of internal unrest. In short, the world could change dramatically.

This was an inside job. No way Israel didn’t know this was coming. It’s all part of creating enough chaos that people beg the government to take away their rights to protect them.

Hamas did this because they know the Israelis are all gonna be dead in a few decades anyways: Almost no people in the Palestine territory took the jab, but Israel has forced most their people to take 3 booster shots. Almost all Israelis will be gone from either cancer or myocarditis in a few years, so Hamas knows time is on their side.

Makes sense but it’s odd how the actual reaction is the direct opposite so far.
The problem with idiot-proofing your defense is that it builds complacency and a better idiot.
The Israelis have famously penetrated high-level Iranian nuke security. But the Iranian regime is divided up into armed cells that act semi-independently after getting orders from the top. Penetration of the nuke group did not mean penetration of the revolutionary guards or whatever group(s) are arming Hamas. Their security probably got much better after the nuke fiasco and killing of Soleimani.
Iron Dome proved very effective against smaller attacks, so the Israelis got complacent and Hamas and the Iranians built up large stockpiles of bigger rockets. They also started using drones and came up with the paraglider idea. This is the "better idiot" part.
There are two huge failures here: i) the failure to detect that an attack was immanent; ii) how did Hamas acquire so many weapons in a controlled zone like Gaza? Are NGOs cooperating with weapons smuggling? Is another power like Turkey already involved?

Hamas did this because the Jews got covid shots, that is a new theory.
There are already grumblings in Iran from the anti-Khamenei groups who do not support the Palestinians.....
The Sampson Option will be used multiple times if Hezbollah, Jordan, or Iran even flinch.
