"Not our country, not our problem"

I want to check the temperature of the room here...

I'm seeing a LOT of conservatives on social media saying the war in the Middle East is not our problem.

As an anti-war conservative I completely agree however it's surprising to see this sentiment among so many mainstream conservatives?!

We're used to being in the minority on these issues.

While supportive of Israel and absolutely condemning the horrific attacks and hostage taking that we've witnessed it appears many Americans are sick and tired of the foreign interventions.

Only the Neocons on social media are demanding U.S involvement.

In fact I posted one yesterday:-

Nikki Haley: This is not just an attack on Israel — this was an attack on America

Have I got this right? What are your thoughts...

I am. I’m also pointing out that what we lost by getting out of all the European clubs we were in, has so far cost us far more than we saved.

We were promised £300m a week in savings by quitting the EU bureaucracy. Actually our costs have soared to approaching £800m a week. And the costs are hitting farmers, exporters, manufacturers directly instead of hitting government.

Which should be a cautionary tale for the isolationists.

Again, I am not arguing for Isolationism, but pulling out of Globalist orgs.

But not a difference that justifies our intervention.

You're right that Trump would publicly disagree with me. What he believes in private, I don't know.

I forgot to add what I’ll call (11), although it should have been before (9):

(11) GET CONTROL OF OUR DANG BORDER. We almost certainly have been infiltrated by a large number of enemy forces of all stripes. Examples: cartel forces, Russian agents, Chinese agents, Iranian agents, jihadists, and other nefarious forces. (Some overlap exists in the above.)

Fortunately and despite the leftscum’s best efforts, the Second Amendment is in pretty good shape right now. Of note, private ownership of firearms in Israel is about 1.4 to 2 per 100 civilians. In the US, it is about 120 per 100 civilians. Just the deer hunters in the Midwest constitute one of if not the largest standing army in the world. If someone can bag a deer at 100 to 300 yards (most serious hunters can do this), bagging an enemy human isn’t that tough.

They killed 9 Americans and are holding more hostage. Hamas made it our busniess.

Exactly.

Also, if anyone believes us staying completely out now will lead to anything but a tougher fight later against Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, ISIS, and Iran, they have no clue about the basis of this war and no clue about military history. Out of respect to fellow Freepers, I will not call them stupid rather just a bit naive. They might want to study some military and other history.

And Biden will write them a multi-billion dollar check, cash for hostages is now his policy.

48 hours ago I would’ve said no, that was not an attack on us, but now I agree that it was an attack on civilization.

I am against tax dollars going to any foreign country, including Israel. With that said, I am a proponent of Israel. Israel is quite capable of taking care of itself financially. It is an advanced nation, unlike the shithole Gaza, which isn’t even a nation. I’m a proponent of selling arms to Israel. Our government can pave the way to selling American arms to Israel. That is eliminating any barriers and red tape to financing. The weapons can immediately be sold from our military’s stockpiles at their replacement cost. It is imperative that those weapons that we sell are immediately replaced. This needs to be a law and have Congressional oversight and be fully audited to insure that the money we receive from Israel is used for the actual replacement of the weapons sold. I do not trust our government one bit, particularly the Biden Administration and the woke non-leaders of our military. Ergo, the yrequire auditing and observation.

Additionally, weapons can be sold directly from manufacturers to Israel. I view this as a secondary to selling weapons from our military inventory given Israel’s has immediate needs for weapons.

Our military and intelligence community can share intelligence and imagery with Israel. That’s if Israel wants to depend on our intelligence. Quite honestly, I would be suspicious of any intelligence coming from us. It’s probably best to provide raw intelligence and allow Israel to provide their own analysis and make their own conclusions.

I want the Biden Administration and the U.S. State Department to refrain from all diplomacy. There isn’t a single State Department employee that will do the right thing for America or Israel. They will hamper any efforts Israel takes to permanently eliminate Hamas, Hezbollah, Islamic Jihad, ISIS, Muslim Brotherhood and any other terrorist group or nation. I want Israel to succeed. I’m hope Israel realizes and acts appropriately. There is no diplomatic solution to this problem. It must be crushed militarily.

Now for the things we can do:

1.) Immediately increase domestic petroleum production by opening lands and waters to drilling and fracking. That includes unlimited leases to American companies. Additionally, reduce regulations so that American companies can quickly increase petroleum production and reduce petroleum prices to consumers. This is not just good for our economy, but also for the world economy since conflict in the ME may affect global supplies.

2.) Immediately transfer partial but significant responsibility for keeping ME/Gulf shipping lanes clear and secure to the nations that consume ME petroleum. Eventually, those nations need be 100% responsible.

3.) Immediately reform our military by replacing woke military leadership, increasing standards and training, eliminating every green program, reducing and eliminating many of the 300+ military bases we have around the world and returning forces to America to defend America. Additionally, all weapons programs must be evaluated for effectiveness for 21st century warfare. That includes the elimination of spending on boondoggle programs that military doesn’t even want.

4.) Inform our allies and friends that depend on American tax dollars and our military for their defense that the free ride is over. Europe, Japan, South Korea and others need to immediately invest and become fully responsible for their own defense. We will aid them in this transition and we will sell them the weapons they need. Aid, in this case, is guidance not American tax dollars.

5.) Immediately close our borders to immigration and begin mass deportation of aliens. Our immigration policy and laws need to be fixed. No more refugees and existing refugees need to be moved to nations close to their home countries so they can prepare to fight to retake their former homes. They can appeal to the rest of the world for aid. It is not our problem. Work, travel and student visas need to be corrected. Visas need to be revoked and not issued to citizens from our adversaries. That specifically includes China, Russia and ME nations.

6.) Immediately cut federal spending and every unconstitutional government program. That requires the shuttering of large percentage of the federal government. Our economic health is just as important as our military. Without a strong economy we cannot have a strong military. Regulations need to be substantially reduce and/or eliminated. Our adversaries are waging economic war against us. This requires responses that include tariffs and in some cases complete bans on imports from some nations.

7.) There is plenty more that can be done, but let’s do these things to get started.

Americans need to be very sure we’re not being gaslighted to advance a hidden agenda.

There are a great many questions about this complex invasion operation requiring considerable resources that went totally under the radar.

A compilation of clips shows how the terror group invaded southern Israel. First they bombed Israeli observation towers and weapons systems on the border, then fired hundreds of rockets, as terrorists on para-gliders flew over the border. Moments later, Hamas approached the border fence, blew up holes in it, and allowed hundreds of terrorists to infiltrate into Israel.

Yet an IDF spox says on Twitter: “I served in the [Israeli Defense Force] Gaza division during the 2014 Gaza war... Listen to me, and listen to me well: There’s no way in the world that anyone can approach the Israeli border without IDF knowing about it.”

Huh?

Let the gaslighting begin…...........

I don’t believe we should be involved in either.

Ukraine is just money laundering and getting 100’s of 1000’s killed.

Israel is quite capable of fighting Hamas on its own. If it were to be attacked by multiple surrounding nations that might be a little different.

All of my life, the United States has come to the aid of those who needed help, whether they are friends, neighbors or strangers and even former enemies, too.

While others are like the priest and the Levite who avoid getting involved, America is more like the Good Samaritan who comes to the aid of the injured stranger and sees to his recovery.

I think that’s one of the reasons why our nation has been so blessed with such good fortune, health and prosperity all of my life.

For this reason, our coming to the aid of Ukraine is one of the very few things oBiden’s done that I agree with.

And, I also hope we will also continue to support our good friend Israel, especially now in their time of crisis.

If we don’t help Israel then you had better be prepared to fight in our streets because it will happen.

You are assuming that aid is even getting there, and not in the hands of the politicians.
