I want to check the temperature of the room here...
I'm seeing a LOT of conservatives on social media saying the war in the Middle East is not our problem.
As an anti-war conservative I completely agree however it's surprising to see this sentiment among so many mainstream conservatives?!
We're used to being in the minority on these issues.
While supportive of Israel and absolutely condemning the horrific attacks and hostage taking that we've witnessed it appears many Americans are sick and tired of the foreign interventions.
Only the Neocons on social media are demanding U.S involvement.
In fact I posted one yesterday:-
Nikki Haley: This is not just an attack on Israel — this was an attack on America
Have I got this right? What are your thoughts...
Ukraine's border isn't my problem, our southern border is. Just who is flooding into the US?
101 percent agreed. Only hours after the Israelis started their "counteroffensive" came the first voices of "proportional response" and the like. The truly functional end to this should be total surrender. Nothing less.
“War is the health of the State.”
Randolph Bourne
International orgs? I tend to agree that they have too often evolved to no longer to represent and support our national interests. NATO, end it. UN remake it.
China hits us with a plague, which helps Biden defeat Trump. Biden limits American energy production and distribution, which increases the price of oil and gas, which enriches Russia so that they can afford to continue their war on Ukraine, and enriches Iran, which can finance this new war on Israel.
Biden helps Ukraine with resources that we cannot afford, considering federal debt exceeds annual total GDP.
Have I missed anything?
The US is not going to get involved outside of words and empty posturing.
The Biden regime ended the US being a net energy exporter that had been achieved by Trump’s administration in the name of “saving the planet”
The Biden regime to cover up the cost impact of that foolish energy policy has drained the US Strategic Petroleum Reserve. It is at is lowest level currently since 1983
The Arab Oil states have, of course, sided with the terrorists against Israel.
The Biden regime cannot afford to piss off the Arab Oil states less they turn off the taps and crash the West’s economies
Joe Biden has managed, in his 3.5 years, to undo 50 years of progress. The US is back to being where is was in 1973.
Do the forum a favor - shoot yourself in the mouth.

She is STILL working.?
Relocated from state department to the Pentagon.
False. The Speaker Pro Tem fills in for the Speaker until a new one is elected. The only time the House must have a speaker elected is in January of a new Congress. Once the Speaker is elected, new members sworn in and the rules set, they do not have to have a duly elected Speaker.
If weve learned anything over the last 3 years, if the government wants to do something it will do what it wishes. Rules and procedures no longer matter.
Here’s what Israel needs from us - that our worse-than-useless administration and State Department stay out of the way and don’t rush in to rescue Hamas when Israel has them on the ropes again. Let Israel wipe out this existential threat, and we mind our business. Israel is more than capable of handling Hamas by itself - we need to keep Biden’s senility out of it.
Yes, Wilson and Biden are tied for the worst President ever. Fdr isn’t to far behind, but he at least fought a total war after we were attacked.
Ok, I screwed up. I’ve been awake too long dealing with other things for almost 2 days. Sorry. I’ll do that later after a nap.
“The Eastern world, it is explodin’
Violence flarin’, bullets loadin’
You’re old enough to kill but not for votin’
You don’t believe in war, but what’s that gun you’re totin’?
And even the Jordan river has bodies floatin’
But you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
How you don’t believe
We’re on the eve of destruction
Don’t you understand what I’m trying to say
Can’t you feel the fears I’m feeling today?
If the button is pushed, there’s no runnin’ away
There’ll be no one to save with the world in a grave
Take a look around you boy, it’s bound to scare you, boy
And you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
How you don’t believe
We’re on the eve of destruction
Yeah, my blood’s so mad, feels like coagulatin’
I’m sittin’ here just contemplatin’
I can’t twist the truth, it knows no regulation
Handful of senators don’t pass legislation
And marches alone can’t bring integration
When human respect is disintegratin’
This whole crazy world is just too frustratin’
And you tell me
Over and over and over again, my friend
How you don’t believe
We’re on the eve of destruction
And think of all the hate there is in Red China
Then take a look around to Selma, Alabama
Ah, you may leave here for four days in space
But when you return, it’s the same old place
The poundin’ of the drums, the pride and disgrace
You can bury your dead, but don’t leave a trace
Hate your next door neighbor but don’t forget to say grace
And you tell me
Over and over and over and over again, my friend
You don’t believe we’re on the eve of destruction
No no, you don’t believe we’re on the eve of destruction”
Barry McGuire, “Eve of Destruction”
Pretty apt words, I think, for what is going on in the world today
Hamas’ horrific brutality was in complete accord with its people.
As VDH opined we need to learn the lesson here: there is something so terribly wrong in Gaza that the United States should keep as far away as it can from such barbarity.
We can only hope that Hamas reciprocates and stays away from us.....but already the rallies on US soil are taking place.....a worrisome omen.
Tried, convicted, and, if guilty, executed. None less.
Just saw on Twitter that Hanas killed 9 Americans. The fake President will do nothing. 😡
Agree, and yet even here on FR, tiny wars of words conducted in a sentence or two without actual "defining" is quite normal.
I think our "national interest" is the health, safety, prosperity and liberty as it can reign within our borders, without debt and in measured pace. Stick to the Bill of Rights and the Constitution, and we can be safe and sage enough. There are resources aplenty here, should we aim for being a autarkic as possible, and from that base we can deal honestly with the rest of the world.
But then, that is not and never will be in the interest of the lobbyists, looking from their riches from government, and it is they who exert the "donor" pressure on what is currently a very well "purchased" government.
This suggests that the time will come when a revisit to the opening of the Declaration of Independence will become crucial.

Alrighty, then.
How about an oversimplification of how the US foments these issues and THEN tell us how we should intervene/act to resolve what our government has effectively created?
Seriously: Who here believed that there was to be a serious Israel/Saudi peace deal? C’mon, man. Israel is being transformed internally from their own integration policies and the US either intentionally failed to share intel about this attack or they’re after bigger game and abandoned that conflict zone.
This is a DS-101 International Stress Test, and we’re to believe that doing something NOW is going to change a damned thing???
We all saw how the US supports Israel. 2 observations:
1. Nobody knows what live band played at the infamous bbq,
2. Everyone seems to be crowing about the lack of a biden statement on the attack when we all know he has no cogent thought and any response will occur in spite of him, so why the hell gripe about things absolutely nobody can control under a puppet regime run by globalists opposed to both American & Israeli Jewish freedoms?
