Hillary drops the Veil on Her Party’s Totalitarianism
American Thinker ^ | 8 Oct, 2023 | Clarice Feldman

The Democrats are making no effort to hide their totalitarian impulses. Certainly, Hillary Clinton isn’t. In an interview this week with CNN’s Christiane Amanpour. she suggested that Trump supporters were part of a cult and needed formal deprogramming.

Whatever the reason, you know, make America great again was a bid for nostalgia to return to a place where people could be in charge of their lives, feel empowered, say what they want, insult whoever came in their way. And that was really attractive to a significant portion of the Republican base. So, it is like a cult.

And somebody has to break that momentum.

Amanpour was visibly taken aback at this candor, but didn’t press her as to how and for whom this deprogramming was to occur. In the past, whenever a Republican candidate for any office made an outrageous comment -- and this was supremely outrageous -- every candidate of his party would be asked if he agreed with it. I’d suggest the RNC encourage its candidates to take the same tack.

Babylon Bee, my favorite satire site, made hay of this interview, “Viewers are perplexed by a CNN interview featuring a deranged old lady who recently escaped from an elder care facility, angrily ranting about wanting to ‘deprogram’ half of the nation’s population.”

But there’s nothing new and nothing funny about the totalitarian impulse on the Left. Last January a Rasmussen survey indicated that one-third of Democrats thought children should be removed from the homes of unvaccinated parents (despite the very low rate of COVID infections and mortality in children) and a whopping 50% of them wanted to imprison the unvaccinated.

Nor do we lack evidence that the Democrats have captured the intelligence and federal law enforcement agencies and used them to harass, muzzle...

Maybe we could spread Hillary’s camps throughout the country like islands spread out through the sea. It could be a metaphorical archipelago.

The timing does seem to be a bit of a convenient coincidence

Consider also that she has had several gaffe moments before, so this was a planned and carefully considered utterance.

It's not just the Democratic Party. It's the entire ruling class globalist enterprise.

We already see far more advanced cases of the disease in other former free world countries.

Hillary has always been a fascist, and has always been a wannabe dictator of this country. She used to hide it better than she does now, so we can at least be thankful that in her old age the veil has dropped from this tyrannical, old, ugly, witch.

The Democrats are making no effort to hide their totalitarian impulses.

They always have they have a long laundry list of their action to prove it.

Could I be one of those extremists? The media and Democrat rhetoric about what an awful person Trump is I juxtapose against two quotes. Attributed to many is, “Well-behaved women seldom make history”. In discussing Grant and his drinking Lincoln said, “I can’t spare the man. He fights”. In reading hundreds of years of history, I have seen English and American courts often used to attack political opponents, so I will wait for trials and judgements.

After discounting his detractors, I remember he is one of the few in Washington who took actions for the judicial branch that demonstrated he seriously regarded his oath to support and defend the Constitution. He didn’t start any wars, but instead brokered the Abraham Accords bringing peace between Israel and two Middle East countries. He moved our Israel embassy to Jerusalem which was approved during Reagan’s administration. By the way, those three justices he appointed were three of six votes to overturn Roe and Casey.

As usual the Bee relied on humor for their point, but there could be a serious element. The Biden Administration published in June 2021 a document titled National Strategy for Countering Domestic Terrorism. I noticed that among the many examples of domestic terrorism used, the government did not list the violent activities that occurred in Seattle, New York, Portland, and Minneapolis, but made repeated references to the militia movement which had its hay day in the 90’s.

I think the businesses and people impacted by those urban riots would hold contrary opinions and point to the government’s own definition. Domestic terrorism is defined as “activities that involve acts dangerous to human life that are a violation of the criminal laws of the United States or of any State; appear to be intended to intimidate or coerce a civilian population, to influence the policy of a government by intimidation or coercion, or to affect the conduct of a government by mass destruction, assassination, or kidnapping; and occur primarily within the territorial jurisdiction of the United States.”

This document seems an updated, expanded, and more elegant version of Rightwing Extremism: Current Economic and Political Climate Fueling Resurgence in Radicalization and Recruitment, which was published by DHS during the Obama presidency. It had to be withdrawn following the universal outcry from veteran organizations that perceived it targeted former armed service members as prime candidates susceptible for recruitment as domestic terrorists.

When reading it though, I was concerned with the passage saying that the potential terrorist could be identified as “those that are mainly antigovernment, rejecting federal authority in favor of state or local authority, or rejecting government authority entirely”. The Tenth Amendment to the Constitution says, “The powers not delegated to the United States by the Constitution, nor prohibited by it to the States, are reserved to the States respectively, or to the people”.
