And since they do not discuss these top critical issues, it makes me think it’s one big setup, brought to us by those with bad intent.
Kind of hard to make money in the trucking industry when you have to tow a backup tractor in addition to your cargo. Probably got the idea from the “brilliant” energy czar.
I'd say a coal plant or a hydro-electric dynamo plant.
Exactly. They view us as the eggs that need to be broken to make their tyrannical omelette.
I can’t conclude what you did based on meeting him once.
I’ve met a lot of celebrities and politicians. Bob Hope was the coolest celebrity I met while Bill Clinton was a creepy phony. John McCain was nuts but his wife was smoking hot 20 years ago.
No matter, I met Leno and he was really nice. Maybe he was smart enough to keep his politics to himself while making millions?
You need to catch up
A Pepsi bottler in the Midwest bought a fleet of 24 of the Tesla semis to make deliveries to distant warehouses. The final report showed that a Tesla Semi could and did serve for in excess of 800 miles in one twenty four hour period. The Semi returned to the main factory to get second load and new driver. During that time, the Semi was recharged.
There are extensive and detailed evaluation reports indicating that for the Pepsi delivery task, the Tesla is a superior solution.
The Tesla semi should be evaluated on a task by task basis rather than total generalization
I don’t own and don’t want a Tesla. I observe and present a finding
In the linked video they said a 500 mile range.
I am sure with access to the special chargers made by Tesla it could be more.
I don’t have an issue with someone who wants to risk their livelihood by doing this with their own money and not mine, or by mandating or forcing it on the rest of us.
Which is what all of that is.
The five hundred mile range is not exceeded by the 400+ mile delivery trips that are repeated twice daily to achieve the noted 800 miles per day usage.
The point made is that he livlihood is not at all risked. Pepsi gives the semi’s accolades because they exceeded expectations.
I’m not selling them, just observing. The Tesla’s are what is apparently the best of several E Semis on the market. The E Semis are a disruption in the business
That their solvency is risked or not by their decision to buy electric trucks is not my concern. It is, and should be, their decision.
Where I am outraged by this is in two primary areas: first, any tax dollars, even one cent of tax revenues spent to subsidize purchases defray costs, or be spent on charging infrastructure, is an abomination, especially since it is being justified to combat a hoax.
Second, any mandates to force this at a commercial or consumer level is outrageous, especially when justified to combat a hoax.
A hoax in both cases in the form of man-caused climate change.
I refuse to yield an inch willingly, because an inch yielded willingly to these tyrants is an inch never to be regained.
By the way bert, if I sound hostile towards you, that just isn’t so. I am hostile, extremely so, to the principle of the way this is being forced upon us, and that, no doubt, comes across clearly in my posts.
Yes that looked like it to me too
In the face of global events, Jay Leno news in an insignificant pimple on the back side of the globe and a distraction from the important news. Except for the unaware the planet, who are distracted by trending REAL news.
Leave it to the tiktok morons to make this “news”, not a conservative news and discussion forum please.
THIS THREAD I’D LIKE WHAT PARIS NOTION HAD FOR LUNCH.
