Memory fails me on this. Remember seeing several films regarding the assination of Lincoln, but not by this title.

Dick Powell, on the train carrying Lincoln to Washington to be inaugurated, helps to foil an assassination attempt. Some history to the premise of the movie. I could have sworn I’d seen the full movie on YouTube. Not there now, only clips.

Attempted your link leading me to TCM intro w/Robert Osborn
intro of the movie. Then it was Osborn introducing the next entitled DAMES w/Powell. Searched thruout the net and archive.org nothing found but this clip with closed caption.

One interesting comment by RO certainly makes us scratch our

GH -that was long before Luke and Laura....right? Don’t believe these two became an item until the early 70s
The city of Dallas basically shut down that weekend. EVERYTHING remained unopened...from the clubs to the movie
theaters.
