Young athlete, 11, grabbed gun from his mom’s car before shooting teammates: surveillance footage

Shocking surveillance footage caught the moment an 11-year-old grabbed a gun from his mother’s vehicle and fired on his teammates after they reportedly took his bag of chips.

The video, released by police Tuesday night, appears to show the alleged shooter being chased by one of his teammates following a youth football practice at a park in Apopka, Florida, Monday night.

The young boy then races to a vehicle in the parking lot and grabs a gun from the passenger-side seat.

Apopka Police Chief Mike McKinley said the firearm was unsecured inside the vehicle.

Last week he used his mom's knife and her gun to defend his chips.

The older two kids took away his chips. It sounds like he was being bullied.

Where is the dad of this kid? Where is the dad of the other two kids? Perhaps we need to take away kids from single moms and put them in an orphanage instead of paying them money to have kids.

Yeah, it's not so much the obvious, as it is, why isn't obvious to themselves -- if you FAFO in the ghetto, it will involve a gun at least 50% of the time, and that gun will discharge in fleeting anger, at only a slightly-less percentage.

Conclusion: STOP FAFO in the ghetto, behave (even if you weren't raised right), and you raise your chances of living to 30 without being incarcerated or shot.

Funny part is the kid will get out scot-free at 18 before his mom, if that’s who she is, will get out for child endangerment and an accessory by leaving a handgun on the front seat for the kid to get at. And that is closer to justice even if it is not perfect.

Yah, my first thought. An 11 year old is being bullied. Reason is immaterial. At any time the bullies could have stopped and laughed.

Maybe these other two a-holes were tormenting the kid beyond reason. I’m sure there’s more to this story. I had a bully in High School that I was tempted to do the same to. To this day if I saw him I would be tempted.
