New York authorities are still searching for the 9-year-old girl who may have been abducted from Moreau Lake State Park on Saturday evening.
Charlotte Sena was last seen on Loop A at approximately 6:15 p.m. Saturday wearing an orange tie-dye Pokémon shirt, dark blue pants, black Crocs and a gray bike helmet, New York State Police say.
Sena was on a camping trip with her family and disappeared after going for a bike ride in the park, the Times Union reports. She is described as being White with blonde hair, standing 5-foot-1 and weighing 90 pounds.
Governor Kathy Hochul (D-NY) held a news conference about Sena's disappearance on Sunday afternoon. The governor said that she met with Sena's parents who were "obviously distraught."

Jeez, I live in almost a zero crime area, and I once upon a time had a nine year old girl, but I would NEVER and I do mean NEVER let her out of my sight on a camping trip.
I don’t understand people that do.
The bike was found
I always used to put a whistle around their neck and try to tell them the basics if lost, like pick a tree and stick with it and not exhaust themselves with the whistle but blow it periodically.
Good, in that any abductor probably left fingerprints and DNA on it.
Bad, in that she wasn’t near it.

The FBI statistics would say she is dead and has been since shortly after the abduction.
However better outcomes have occurred.

It’s easy to become complacent when camping in state parks. It is usually young couples with children or elderly couples enjoying their “golden years”. You assume that your children will be fine riding around the campground circle on their bikes. But, the predators know that and use such circumstances and places as hunting grounds.
When camping with our grandchildren we always used walkie talkies with everyone in our group using the same channel. Even when walking down to the lake’s edge or going to the restrooms, the children had to go in twos and carry one of the walkie talkies.
