I don’t ignore it. I just don’t think the fact that Russia was founded in Ukraine means she should invade the Ukraine and take the territory back. What about Ukraine’s history as an independent country? Heck, parts of the the USA used to be parts of Mexico. Would you support a Mexican invasion in her effort to reclaim those territories?

This might be the stupidest damn thing I’ve seen here and I’ve been here over 20 years.
Ukraine has no realistic path to victory short of WWIII. They were fools for letting the West talk them into giving up their nuclear weapons. That was the only real deterrent they had. The strategic assessment should not have been based on whether or not Russia would actually be threatened by the West, but instead, should have been based on whether or not Russia felt threatened by the West. NATO expansion was guaranteed to make Russia feel threatened. Without nuclear deterrence, Ukraine is just overmatched. All Russia has to do is grind them down. Ukraine would need conventional military superiority for counter-offensives to succeed, and they just don’t have it. It’s a war of attrition, and Ukraine has no hope in that sort of war. The U.S. and other pro-war forces don’t care how many Ukrainians die and how badly Ukraine is damaged as long as Russia is suffering damage as well. And no one seems interested in ending the war. Ukraine is going to have to give up territory eventually. The only question is how much of Ukraine is going to be destroyed and how many Ukrainians are going to die before that happens.
Personally, since Ukraine was not on the map for Americans but for the media painting them as unusually corrupt, and since Victoria Nuland admitted to Marco Rubio in a congressional hearing that, “Yes, the US Defense Department has bio-weapons labs in Ukraine”, and, “Why Yes, there are 350 more across Europe,” [and, nevermind the dismantled nuclear silos that were never destroyed and left located close to the Russian border, at the same time Biden had increasing MIL “Exercises” with NATO troops tramping around UKR, all but agitating Russia into a slow boil, with their uniformed appearance of Nothing, if not a Build Up for war.]
So, personally, Putin had, for years, every reason to see a threat building.
All that, after the West mocked Putin, by signing with him on Two Minsk Agreements (which no American has bothered to read) and that Merkel openly admitted signed only to stall for time, never meant to be upheld, in order that UKR could pretend it would turn itself into a big old Military threat against Russia, with a little help from its friends. $150B later the US used UKR as its proxy warriors and destroyed the male population. No matter to O’Biden.
