Its been a crappy day. The news sucks. The news always sucks. But it's September 21st, first day of Fall, and impossible not to feel a bit better after listing to this reminder of better times.
Actually, I just read Fall starts on Saturday this year.
This year, the autumn equinox will begin on Saturday, September 23, at 2:50 a.m. and will last until the winter solstice on Thursday, December 21, at 10:27 a.m.
... But it’s CBS News saying that, so it could be bogus. :)
Accuweather reports 9/23 @0159 CST.
See? CBS lies again!
It’s 83 degrees
What fall?
Is September 22 always the first day of fall?
The first day of fall is Saturday, September 23, 2023—the same day as the autumn equinox—in the Northern Hemisphere. The date varies slightly year to year, but it is usually September 22 or 23. On rare occasions, it can fall on September 21 or 24.Aug 7, 2023...
....”Autumn Starts: Saturday, Sep 23 1:49 am CDT”.... but you would never know it from the temps we have been having here in central Texas....98 degrees yesterday; heading for 97 degrees today.....
It’s the first day of Fall? Really?
As it’s currently 92 degrees in the beautiful Texas Hill Country - this means nothing to me.
We don't get "Fall" in Texas. All we have is Summer and Not Summer.
Is this a rick-roll?
