Tennis legend Martina Navratilova has taken aim at Republican primary candidate Vivek Ramaswamy's tennis skills, with the swipe dividing social media users.
Posting to X, the social network formerly known as Twitter, the 66-year-old former tennis pro called the entrepreneur's forehand "ugly." Navratilova was responding to a clip of the 38-year-old playing the sport shirtless, which has received over 7 million views on his own account.

"What in the heck is that footwork. Is he trying to box at the same time?" asked Jessica.
"I personally object to his black socks," said John the Gnerphk.
"Same energy," commented Mamá de dos Perros, alongside a photo of Putin riding a horse shirtless.

Seriously?
The country is going to heck in a handbasket and they are criticizing his tennis game?
What a pathetic group of ankle-biters.
Putin-esque. Martina knows tennis and weird men. I’ll defer to her on this one. At least it’s something getting national comment on by which the commentator actually has some subject matter expertise beyond reading cue cards or teleprompter.
A former world-class athlete making fun of an amateur? Stay classy dude.
If he bites his pillow, Martina can also give comment.
Charity tennis match between Navritilova and Ramaswamy. Raise some money for a good cause. I bet Ramaswamy would do it, and Navritilova wouldn’t. She’s had health problems, but I think she’s okay now, at least for now.
Looks like every other amateur fairly decent tennis player I’ve ever seen.
Better than Bisex Barry’s hoop shooting.
Can’t speak for Vivek’s skills, or lack thereof, but if I had Martina Pseudovitch commenting on my ‘tennis skills’, I would be THRILLED regardless of the content.
Maybe Vivek could offer Martina a coaching job.
The guy is returning the ball.
Imagine Biden watching the ball just sail past him each time and not noticing...
As one who played lot of tennis during my college years, Vivek hits decent forehand shots for an amateur.
I bet he is weak on backhand shots. He hit none in the video. A 2 handed back hand shot is lethal.
The forehand, which is all I saw in the vid, has been coached and he’s hit 1000s of them. The grip is far different from Martina’s era. Racquet technology changed and so did topspin emphasis.
This is a guy in his 30s. It is solid play. The sun is a notorious sapper of energy in tennis. Guys don’t play without shirts unless they are screwing around. Or showing off.
I think he deserves credit for having a commitment to the game even while pursuing career. Tennis at his level is not hit-and-giggle.
So, his tennis game needs improving? That’s the critique of a politician? If that’s all they have to criticize about him, I may look closer at him.
Next, can Newsweek get Vivek Ramaswamy to ridicule that narcissistic tennis playing dyke’s business skills?
It’s all so consistent.
He’s a fraud on every count.
Let them take it to the tennis court.
In tennis, always root against the heterosexual.
