People are nuts. So they go for emotional support animals (pets) that eat nuts.

A friend of mine said he was freaked out years ago by some chick that had a rat hanging out on her shoulders while shopping in a Walmart once.

Look up King Charles and his red squirrels. He allows them into one of his country estate houses. He thinks they are very intelligent.

Is it a lucky squirrel or an unlucky squirrel?

Sis and hubby just spend the summer remodeling our uncles desert cabin in CA

A tiny wild antelope squirrel took a shine to Rick and his sunflower seeds and would crawl up on his chest and take naps

As we already know by now... some people will do ‘anything’ to get attention, even if it’s negative attention. The problem comes when they have to get more and more creative in order to satisfy the addiction they have developed re: getting that attention. This truly is the era of idiocy and insanity and the unhinged segment of our society need and demand their “15 minutes of fame”, no matter what it takes.

People of Walmart. It has a far higher incident rate of looneys than other retailers. Proven.

I once dated a girl who carried around an even more unusual pet. I finally had to break things off.
I couldn’t stand all the weird smells. From the girl, not the pet.

LOL, I am guessing it is better than an “Emotional Support Badger”...

A lady brought a baby hummingbird into our shop one time. She had it carefully ensconced in a scarf. It was a highpoint of our day. I think it was a rescue, not a pet, and that she had to keep it with her to feed it on time.

I hand raised an abandoned squirrel. She’d climb all over me. (I looked like a roadmap!) Totally amazed the neighbor.

Probably should have had a squirrel carrier.

Just avoid birds of prey.

We should all take a lesson from The Janitor and keep our squirrels at home.

Nearly 50 years ago, my father rescued a squirrel from the ash pit of our fireplace. He was only a few days old, and we knew that his parents would never take him back with human scent on him…so we raised him. Initially, we fed Fuzzy milk with a doll bottle, but he soon graduated to nuts, dry cereal and the occasional potato chip or French fry. We taught him how to climb trees (and get down), and he would climb all over us. He loved sitting on a shoulder and observing the world from a higher altitude. But we never brought Fuzzy to the store - his one trip out was to the vet for a rabies shot, and he was in a cage.
