Hard-right Rep. Lauren Boebert has parted ways with the man seen groping her during a frisky date at a Colorado theater while enjoying a family-friendly performance of the musical “Beetlejuice.” The self-described “eccentric” pol returned to Washington D.C. on Monday and told TMZ that “all future date nights have been canceled” between her and bar owner Quinn Gallagher. “I learned to check party affiliations before you go on a date,” Boebert told the outlet, referring to Gallagher, who co-owns an Aspen bar that hosts drag shows. Although she alluded to her date’s affiliation as a Democrat, the GOP stalwart said the break-up had nothing to do with the various reports on Gallagher in recent days.

Your second sentence is probably unfortunately right. She is and always will be a prime target.
But her district is nothing like D+2. It’s about R+7 according to Cook and 538, and is not remotely a lost cause. But Boebert is “controversial” and the simps — on BOTH sides — hate her.

There was a time not so long ago when women were put on a pedestal and conducted themselves in ways that brought them honor and respect.
Brobert was on a date in a dark theater and her partner got a little handsy. She’s not the first person that’s happened to, plus it’s not like she was having sex in a public park, FFS!

When was that exactly? Maybe you fell for the illusion of “wholesomeness,” but it wasn’t reality. I’m the family history researcher and I regularly see “spinster” in English baptismal record books going back 300 yrs. Almost every page has 1 or 2 out of 20-25 entries. Apparently Hanky Panky has been played in every country for centuries.

Because she probably just gave a soft R congressional seat to a radical leftist from Aspen, CO (it’s as bad a Berkeley, except super rich). R’s have a four seat majority in the house.
Mind you, I don’t think an R house majority accomplishes much in the way of making progress. But it does prevent some of the more awful ideas of Washington D.C. from becoming law and slows down the bus screaming toward the cliff.

So if you have a target on your back, act dignified in public so as to deprive them of ammunition. I’ve been to Rifle, CO many times. Had a good friend who lived there. She got attention with how she ran here restaurant, waitresses openly wore pistols.
They stayed open during the Covid lock down. The Western Slope of Colorado is full of characters. All across the spectrum.

Almost certainly, the camera was pointed at them by the security staff to record in case there was any sort of violent altercation.
All large event venues have these capabilities nowadays. You need them because of all the ambulance chasing lawyers roaming the land.

That was before the "non-partisan" redistricting. Her new district is no longer R+7. And she won her last election with only a few hundred votes margin.
I believe that the composition of the new district 3 favors Democrat voters now by a slight amount. I have heard differing estimates and D+2 seems a little far to the left. But they peeled off some of her eastern precincts in Routt County and gave them to Neguse (D-Boulder) in district 2. Then they added some southern precincts to her district which were solid Democrat strongholds. Pueblo County and Otero County do not help Boebert at all. Nor does she have anything to offer to them.
Boebert will have an uphill fight at best, to be re-elected.
Her "own goals" do not make it any easier.
It was a setup.
A fake date to damage her reputation.
