I’m wondering if the impact did anything to the atmospheric oxygen levels?

Creatures that live in burrows (like early mammals) have to have extra lung capacity. Likewise those dinosaurs that evolved into birds.

After having passed by the sign dozens of times while driving from Boston to NYC I finally stopped at "Dinosaur State Park" in a town just south of Hartford,CT.

There's a building on the grounds that contains the actual footprints of creatures that they say lived 200 million years ago.

Mind boggling!

If you live in the area or pass by it (as I do) and have a spare hour and a spare $5 it really is...IMO.

I find things that happened 200 million years ago to be astounding...and fascinating...beyond words.
