That was my first thought. I kept thinking it’s just me, is there something I’m not doing correctly, and maybe that is the case, but then I wonder if more are having the same experience.

iPhone & chrome still work here.

Okay. Maybe I need to remove cookies and cache more often.

Just because "they" are out to get you doesn't necessarily mean all glitches are "their" doing.
Sometimes it's something else.
E.g. Software has bugs, caches get stale and flaky, and sometimes sheet just happens.

Chrome aka Microsoft has determined that Free Republic is a danger to the Amerikan Demokratik Regime, I guess.

Okay. Maybe I need to remove cookies and cache more often. Good plan. Leaving that stuff around is asking for trouble.
The flip side is you have to actually sign-in to sites (incl. FR) after you clear cookies. Small price, IMO.

When Microsoft bought Webtv I kept my old webtv address.
It is hilarious getting spam that pretends webtv still exists...

Chrome aka Microsoft has determined that Free Republic is a danger to the Amerikan Demokratik Regime, I guess. Chrome is Google. "Edge" is Microsoft.

I highly recommend the Brave browser. I use it on my phone and laptop.
To: nobody in particular
When I bring up chrome. My most often used sites are there. FreeRepublic is never there. It is definitely blocked from my ‘most often used’ sites.

Brave. I’ll need to look into that as a standby choice.

I highly recommend the Brave browser. I use it on my phone and laptop. Agreed.
Almost all browsers these days -- with the exception of Firefox -- are based on the open-source software package "Chromium". Chromium is the basic foundation for a ton of browsers:
The open-source Chromium package was originally developed by Google. So if you're truly paranoid about Google, you need to avoid all of the above
except Firefox.

Oops, correction:

And if you're on an Apple product, Safari is still non-Chromium.

Crazy idea. Don’t use the communist company’s browser.

Just because it’s a chromium based browser is not necessarily a bad thing.
I’d be interested in knowing if anyone uses Vivaldi. It’s supposed to be like the old Opera, which I used almost exclusively several years ago.

I have found another good option that I trust even more than Brave or Firefox I been wanting to share with you Dayglored. And it will accept all the Firefox addons.
