There is legal thought that to alter the original requirements and characteristics of the Constitution, an Amendment must address and nullify the portion it changes, else the original still holds precedence.
This is why the qualifications for POTUS remain if Trump is convicted and goes to prison; he is still qualified.

What limited knowledge I have on law is that I believe many court rulings are decided on precedents(?). Therefore if we didn’t have legitimately elected lawmakers at the time or our country was coerced into becoming a corporation in 1871, then rulings since then *may* not stand up to review.
Just saying. Especially if you consider Trump isn’t technically “President” right now, just CIC. The left has used technicalities like that against us forever, it would be epic to return the favor.
