There is legal thought that to alter the original requirements and characteristics of the Constitution, an Amendment must address and nullify the portion it changes, else the original still holds precedence.
This is why the qualifications for POTUS remain if Trump is convicted and goes to prison; he is still qualified.
They find a way to put Trump in prison, the people truly need to take to the streets in full battle mode.
Take that as you may, but this republic is worth saving, and there may come a day when there is only one way to save it.
I can understand that but I think that argument to nullify the amendment would be an uphill clime in court.
