“The CEO tossed the entire My Pillow line despite strong sales.”
In that case all bets are off.
Bud Light will probably keep it’s cooler space.š
Listen to Ms Heinerscheid's own words focused on Bud Light's "more resonant and meaningful" Super Bowl commercial
25:11..."Yeah! I....I think number one...you know...I'm a businesswoman...I had a really clear job to do, when I took over Bud Light. And....it was...this brand is in decline, it's been in decline for a really long time. And if we do not attract...young drinkers, to come and drink this brand, there will be no future for Bud Light. So I had this super clear mandate. Like, we need to evolve and elevate, this incredibly iconic brand. And...my...what I brought to that, was a belief in...ok, what does "evolve and elevate" mean? It's means INCLUSIVTY. It means shifting the tone. It means having a campaign that's truly inclusive and feels lighter and brighter and different and appeals to women and to men. And representation is at sort of at the heart of evolution. You've got see people who reflect you, in the work. We had this hangover...I mean...Bud Light had been...kind of a brand of...fratty...kind of out of touch humor...and, it was REALLY important that we had, another approach.
Third quarter financials will be worse than 2nd quarter. Bud has told retailers they will take back expired unsold beer, and we will be seeing the results of that in November.

Blight bet the boat on “the customer will forget”. That’s just one bad marketing decision after another.
You will still it stocked but they have lost 20-30% of sales. That is a fact.
This is actually an exception to the law of supply and demand. That law of economics says that the lower the price of something is the higher the demand for it will be. Bud Light can’t even be given away these days.
Thatās true but my money is on Walmart letting them keep their space. They are still have the mindset āwe just have to ride this outā. We shall see.
100%
LOL, paying for premium shelving only to have the beer go out of date and not sold, that’s a bold strategy Cotton... 8^)
I do not doubt it.
ooooo... can’t wait
“...walking around drinking.”
That’s a THING? Why was I not informed? LOL!
OH Yeah... elephants have long memories
Supply exceeds demand, which reduces need for supply. If that shelf space doesn’t turn enough with demand, someone else’s product will. (That was the supply - demand rule I was referring to.)
No one who previously drank Bud or Bud Light is drinking "high-end" beers as an alternative. There are plenty of "low-end" beers to choose instead.
Ambev/Anheuser Busch isn't going to ride this out. Don't take my word on it, take a look at their advertising switch. I see them advertising Stella Artois and Modelo, two of their other offerings, in places I previously saw Bud or Bud Light. They're pushing it hard online, on television, and in restaurants.
They know the brand is forever tainted as "Troon Juice" and will likely disappear like Zima.
ā Wonder if those horrific cans have become collector items of sorts?ā
ā¦like āBillyā beer?
Gotcha. Good point.
He should do the Super Bowl with his Bud Light sponsor. D’oh.
LOL, if the nfl had any functioning brain cells left, BL would be PNG’d let alone her...
