It depends on where the bite is and where the venom is deposited. If, by bad luck, the venom is injected into or very near a large blood vessel, things happen very quickly, and there may not be any effective treatment as venom flowing in the bloodstream gets deposited into and starts to digest internal organs.
That is true. In my case it was my pinkie finger on my right hand, and the baby apparently only got me with one fang, as there was only one hole. So, I was lucky, but unlucky as well. 🙂
