Suppose a foreign country, whichever, mexico, china, Russia, Etc, sent an army to March into San Francisco and then annexed it into their country.
Rhe citizens of San Francisco would now pay taxes to that country and would would follow thier laws.
Would you fight or have your son fight to liberate the city although it's values are very different from your own? Would you view them as fellow Americans that deserve Liberation just the same?
Or would you gave the opinion that is not worth fighting for?

The first question that needed to be asked is would the people of San Francisco fight and/or send their sons (daughters ... equity in practice) to fight and die for their freedom. Also inthis respect I’ve long wondered if a governor like Nobrain might run California deep into debt and have crime run amok then ask China to come in and “help” them restore law and fiscial order.

Invasion? F San Francisco. This country has already been invaded. Millions and millions of foreigners since before George Bush have flooded over our borders and we as a people, do absolutely nothing.

Let the invaders decimate the current population, clean up most of the human feces, shanty encampments, and drug needles...
...then move back in to wipe out the invaders.
If I fought for San Francisco I would have to wade through the Fentanyl laced poop and urine of the streets to face an enemy that would soon control and be responsible for the homes of the lawless liberal drug addicts that control the streets.

And I would expect that is the most likely future of San Francisco, and all of California for that matter.
I would issue an ultimatum. The invading military would have leave and take all the homeless and Democrats with them, and all would be forgiven. Otherwise there would be a fight and no member of the invading military would be spared. They would be executed to the last man or woman, or zir/zim.
How could you differentiate them from the current occupants?
