I was trying to open a package for a consumer item that was designed to thwart in-store theft. But why bother protecting the package when thieves can simply walk out of the store with it, take it home, and open it there?
All the theft “loss” expenses are passed on to consumers, which is something we don’t need in this era of high inflation. Just saying.
