Anybody ever watch Rusty Repair?
i don't know where they get these guns from,
but the assortment is amazing as it is mysterious as they won't say anything as to their provenance...
some are only restored to display functionality, others they fire
i've watched near everyone they've made, good stuff

good stuff...
i like how many times they do multiple restores in one video
and i’ve tried to say split up the videos into singles for more revenue
there’s even a chick i’ve seen on one, maybe two

I saw an old WWII training film on YouTube and they said the MG 34’s (could’ve been a 42) “bark was worse than its bite.”
I wasn’t convinced.

Amazing workmanship and photography. But, is inconsistent. Starts with the MG34 and ends with a RPG type weapon. Not sure the finished MG is ever shown.

Yeah, recall reading about the very high cyclic rate of the 34 or 42 was scaring the hell out of GIs and freezing them when it fired.

The found one at a recent bust in Albuquerque, in minty condition. I wonder where the gang bangers found enough belted 8mm Mauser to run it.

German MG34 Machine Gun
The MG34 German Machine Gun is a recoil-operated air-cooled general-purpose machine gun that was designed by Heinrich Vollmer of Mauser Werke in 1934. It is considered the world's first general-purpose machine gun and introduced an entirely new concept in automatic firepower. The MG34 was an instant favorite with the German Army when it entered service in 1935 and was often found on tanks and aircraft. It was designed to serve various applications with different mounting systems, all while being loaded in different ways to support various types of fighting applications. It was also light enough to be carried by one soldier, especially when one or two other German soldiers carried along spare ammunition and other equipment. The MG34 was first fired in combat in Spain during the Spanish Civil War.

1200 rounds a minute could make a person think about what they’re doing.
