Texas Democrats have ALWAYS been evil: Lyndon Baines Johnson, Barbara Jordan, and Ann Richards are just three examples.

This is the same happy talk about immigration that Californians have been fed for 40 years.

It’s self serving BS that the neocon wing of the GOP has been pushing for decades. VDH too often sides with them.

The truth is that immigrants both legal and illegal vote to the left of American natives. They transform society in culture and politics when their numbers are too big.

As they overwhelmed ‘evil’ WASP suburban America, California became what it is today. You’re state is next.

******************

The states that stick out to me with a huge foreign born population, as well as being democrat strongholds are *California(26.9%), New York(22.8%), and New Jersey(22.8%).

Two states with a large foreign born population that have stayed Republican are Texas(17%) & Florida(21%).

Pelham, any state with a foreign born population of over 10% is in danger of democrat one party rule.

*All statistics on foreign born are from 2018.

The breakdown of the black community is largely the result of LBJ, Great Society welfare state liberalism, and the poisoned fruit of that evil tree. The Hispanic community needs leaders who will stand up, say to everyone that what the democrats did to blacks was criminal, and that WE WON’T LET YOU DO TO US WHAT YOU DID TO THEM. And then, as an exercise in good faith outreach, they should turn to the black community and say “you are indeed victims and we will gladly join you in the crusade for justice. But only if you point your guns at the real enemy.”

this.

that’s what us hunkered down CA property holders have been banking on. as a protest, some of us are not selling out. yes we are buying property in red states, but keeping a foothold in CA. that things have gotten so bad, there has to be a turnaround.

we’re basically a one party state since the great RR, and we’re still hanging on and rope-a-doping the CA political mafia in our city onclaves and rural counties. to paraphrase the song:

...and maybe someday when they learn.

the Golden Bear State will return...

Will Return...

WILL RETURN!

(keyboard coda)

Ping! Out to the Victor Davis Hanson list

YT video of a VHD discussion. Thought provoking and, as you will see in the comments, creating very differing opinions.

Is there actually a chance that the Dems would allow a fair election so that citizens can get their state back?

I have been watching the VDH you Tube videos. His understanding and superb ability to convey that understanding it just fantastic.

The problem is that us, the left opposition are complacent and unwilling to act. Action is not nice and is therefore bad. Forgiveness is good and thus the way to proceed.

VDH is a smart guy, but he has a habit of being WAY to optimistic, e.g. in the 2022 midterms he was convinced of a Republican tsunami just as in 1994 and 2010.

Good luck

This is historically where VDH shows his neocon innards

That and treating slavery as the original sin

Pity cause he can be bright

“Texas Democrats have ALWAYS been evil”

Democrats EVERYWHERE are evil. It’s time that conservatives stop living in their fantasy lands and start realizing just who they’re up again.

This is the same happy talk about immigration that Californians have been fed for 40 years.

Arguably, it could be described as 123 years - quite a bit occurred beginning in the early 1900's that came back to bite CA specifically and even the nation in general.

One hundred years ago most were legal immigrants that came here to work very hard.

Today the illegal invaders come to game the gimme system.

Last time I checked, Republicans were still winning elections. - Am I incorrect, or something?

As I said you Sir are misinformed.

Unless you like your RINOs more then you like a free U.S.A.

Perhaps you simply did not bother to go to the sources I provided, perhaps you simple do not inform yourself, you do not appear to know much about Texas politics

“who are now the roofing, plumbing, retail, electrical company owners”

Well, two outta three at least. They don't own electrical contracting companies, and the Asians (Chinese, Korean but mostly Indian and Arab) own all the convenience stores - you can get Halal sandwiches on the beaches now! Yay!

When did we need Mexico or any of the other ethnicity's to come here to do those jobs? California was like 5% Mexican in 1970. That was about the time that the Overpopulation hysteria was whipped up by Ehrlich and then taken globally by the abortionists and the Watermelons like Kerry.

We never needed ANY of these people. The White kids just needed to have 3 or 4 kids just like the families they grew up in. The fact that they were browbeaten into NOT having families was the death knell for CA: it is now majority Mexican. Would anyone have thought that possible just 45 years ago?

Hanson is a squish idiot. His happy talk is 20 years out of date. Maybe he could tell all the Americans from California who ended up in WWI, WWII and Vietnam what the hell they were fighting for: America or Greater Mexico?

As you can see by reading the comments here from CA people that NONE of us believe this fantasy that they are going to end up acting like WASPs. Lemme know when they turn down the Affirmative Action preferences in contracting, college admission, jobs, etc. That's a big “Never”.

And here's our new overlords:

https://speaker.asmdc.org/

This guy is “first generation”...as if the US just started yesterday and the settlers are streaming in to civilize the joint. But hey, he gets to run the California State Assembly, in a State of the United States that is ONLY a state because...some Americans defeated his ancestors in battle back in 1846.

He shouldn't be voting, much less making laws for Americans.

Hoping that people who shouldn't even be voting will somehow change their voting habits is just that: wishful thinking.

My point was that Republicans were winning elections, NOT Democrats. As to the type of Republicans, I’ve posted many times here regarding just how shitty Texas Republicans are (overall), with the latest being our Republican-only Supreme Court telling our EXCELLENT AG that he has no business in monitoring elections and that counties are free to cheat all they want.

Until 1978, when Bill Clements was elected as the first Republican governor since Reconstruction, the Texas Democratic Party had conservatives, moderates, and liberals. Dolphins Briscoe, Clements predecessor, was a conservative, as were several of the state's mid-20th Century governors like Pappy O'Daniel, Coke Stevenson, and Allen Shivers. Starting with the election of John Tower to the U.S. Senate to fill Lyndon Johnson's seat, conservatives drifted away from the Democrats. Ambitious politicians like Rick Perry jumped parties, and by 2000, conservatives had abandoned the Democrats.

The Democratic ascendancy in Texas lasted from the end of Reconstruction to the passing of most of the grandchildren of Confederate veterans.
