Lucinda Daniels collapsed after rushing to help her son, who was injured.
A California mom is being remembered for her selflessness, even in death, after she collapsed on the field during her son's football game.
Lucinda Daniels, a mom of four, ran to the side of her son Dillon, a varsity football player at Mountain View High School in Mountain View, California, when he was injured in game on Aug. 25.
While by Dillon's side, Daniels collapsed after suffering a stroke, the high school's principal Kip Glazer told "Good Morning America."
She was rushed to a local hospital, where she later suffered a second stroke, according to Glazer.
Less than a week later, on Aug. 30, Daniels died, leaving behind four children ranging in age from 10 to 20, as well as her husband Dale.
Her husband declined to be interview by "GMA," authorizing Glazer to speak on his behalf.
Glazer said the family wants to raise awareness of organ donation to honor Daniels' memory, noting that she helped save the lives of four people through organ donation on the day she died.
In the United States, more than 100,000 adults and children are currently on the waiting list for organ donations, according to the Department of Health and Human Services.
"On Wednesday when she passed, she already saved four lives, and she will continue to [save] more with her organ donation," Glazer said. "[Dale] really wanted to emphasize Lucinda being an organ donor and the number of lives that she saved. He’s very proud of that."
On Friday, the Daniels family was present at Mountain View High School's first home football game of the season, where Daniels was remembered as the team's biggest cheerleader.

Em… she collapsed and died
Stroke
Not a common occurrence back when we baby boomers were running around getting hurt
Parents of high schoolers did not regularly collapse and die of cerebrovascular occurrences back in the dark ages of medicine
Now it’s oh she was a nice gal. She is remembered…
Nothing of everyone at the high school event was horrified and traumatized not to mention the kid with his mother dropping dead in front of the school while he was playing football
Geeze.
He’ll never play football again
Just say no Just say it. No.
I figure they’re gonna take whatever organs you have that they want whether you’re an official donor or not. Those cards or more on your driver’s license are placebos. (IMO)
But then, if you haven’t been vaxxed you can’t receive an organ.
There was only one catch. Catch-22...
Stories like this are so hard. Someone dies. Others are able to get their organs, and keep on living. STILL, someone dies, leaving their families to grieve their loss. Medical advances are saving more lives. Still, someone dies.
No. But there are plenty around her who will tell you that you are. But why let the facts get in the way.
You are incorrect. Please do not spread falsehood based in no reality.
why in the hell was mom allowed to run onto the field, the coaching/medical staf would look after the son..
I said, “I figure”, and “IMO”.
I see that Reading Comprehension isn’t your strong suit.
To be fair… she’s kind of a big woman…
Late 30s 40s. She looks no different from any such woman in San Antonio and the are not walking around dropping dead
Pop quiz? Did the family of the "donor" get paid? Even if only an honorarium of some sort?
Part of the M E S S A G I N G is to "donate," so that others might live and yet others will make a bundle....
Yet.
Yet. And not from obesity. This is a very fat place btw
The fact is they know whats going on and unvaxxed organs are prized now.
I had a coworker, father of 2, died from a heart attack at 38. Friends husband, a paramedic, had his first heart attack at 32 and another coworker died at 42 from one.
All of them were overweight.
Now, the vax is still up there in probability for me but this isn’t as clear cut as if her son had had the heart attack on the field.
My brother died in a tragic auto accident back in 2001. After a week in a coma, they pulled the plug and his organs were harvested.
His heart was donated to a 50 year old + individual whose life was saved in the interim and I have a copy of his thank you letter to our family.
Unfortunately, due to confidentially laws, I've never been able to indentify him and inquire on how he is doing today...........Hope he is still alive.
