And Then There Were None is a 1945 film adaptation of Agatha Christie's 1939 mystery novel of the same name, directed by René Clair.
Ten people, all strangers to each other, are invited to a small isolated island off the coast of Devon, England, by a Mr. and Mrs. Owen. They settle in at a mansion tended by two newly hired servants, Thomas and Ethel Rogers, but their hosts are absent. When the guests sit down to dinner, they notice the centerpiece, ten figurines of Indians. Thomas puts on a gramophone record, through which a man's voice accuses them all of murder.
It becomes apparent that none of the ten knows or has even seen "U. N. Owen"; they then realize the name stands for "unknown." They also cannot leave the island, as Rogers informs them that the boat will not return until Monday, and it is only Friday.

Any relation to Governor Christie - a man LOVED by Ukraine Supporters?
Ten Little Indians wasn’t the original name of the book upon which the movie was based.

They did change the ending to meet Hays Code, though.
Outside of the Brit T.V. series of this book, this movie in the ONLY one that should be watched; all of the others are GARBAGE!
Christie was her married name so no. Her maiden name was Miller.
And why do you ask?
Such an odd question.
For a great American parody of this story, watch MURDER BY DEATH; it's hilarious and the cast is outstanding!
I remember a story line similar to this and it was a scary movie from the good old days of using imagination if it is..🤠
Very enjoyable watch. Seen it many times since a boy.
I actually bought the book under its new title because of its old title . I was feeling very politically incorrect at the time .
There's a three-part TV movie of And Then There Were None (2015), available for free on YouTube. It's much better.
very good movie
