Popular gun safe manufacturer Liberty Safe has been struggling to respond to conservative backlash after it gave the FBI access to a customer’s safe as part of a probe into the customer’s participation in the Capitol riot.
Late Wednesday, the company announced that customers will have the option to erase data of their safe combinations and “take control of how their information is stored and protected.” Earlier in the day, Liberty Safe had explained that the FBI had produced a search warrant to the safe owned by Nathan Hughes, a 34-year-old Arkansas man charged with felony civil disorder in connection to the Jan. 6 riot.

Our safe came with a blank combination. It’s a digital keypad and we entered the original combination.
The FBI was going to get into it, one way or the other. It made no difference whether Liberty gave them the combo or not.
He still has a working safe, and not one torn apart and destroyed.
No, they would just punch it or crowbar it apart.
Sorry, that is a weak attitude.
I bet you’re willing to give up your guns thinking they’re going to take them at some point anyway.
Now it’s expanded to “do you have an guns, knives, bombs, flamethrowers or other destructive devices ?”
I always tell the PO upfront that I CCW, so that there are no surprises for either of us. Their cruiser computers have more information on each of us, than you can believe.
” confiscate it snd pay some goof to try every combination.”
Doesn’t need that. An angle grinder and attacking the sides will open it up like a tin can
With the way corrupt law enforcement is working, I wouldn’t want a fully functional safe that they could then seize.
I don’t want some officer to get a free safe or the department to (eventually) sell it at a police auction.
Cut it to pieces.
I believe, LEO’s (Real ones, not naziwannabees) in Family. -}{€££ most people don’t know that they have lazermics that use the windows as a microphone but the technology has been on tv for decades but they are more interested in the game than that $}{!T.
Good !!! What Brand ?
YUGE!
Heh...
You may have entered your combination but the safe manufacturer may already have their combination encoded as in the case of Liberty Safe Company.
Since Liberty Safe is owned by Monony Capital Partners, an investment firm that donates exclusively to democrats, I would say they are permanently blacklisted after this. Local folks near me are suggesting finding a local locksmith that carries a lock that will fit your Liberty Safe, pay cash for it, and install it yourself if able.

Will have to ask my dad what is the safe’s manufacturer.
Will check and get back atcha.

Thanks
