Just let him keep going.

For days, Coast Guard officers tried to get Baluchi into their boat. Sounds like the hamster wheel was seaworthy...

If the Coast Guard thinks this story will stop me from trying to cross the Atlantic, they are very wrong. Tomorrow I’m going to do a last check of the window-washing fluid, then off I go.

Obviously nuts. Even for Florida.
Part of me says, write him off and let him go.
But, he is crazy and we’re supposed to protect those people from themselves.
Now, if he had a reliable crew to shadow and support him, it’d be fun to watch and they’d probably net him try.

Why stop him from trying. Seems like they have been harassing him. He did not call for help and was in international waters.

I think the authorities should have just warned him his attempt was not very smart, and then let him go on his way, with the additinal warning he’d get no help from them later on.

So now you have to have the government’s permission to sail a hamster wheel on the ocean? What has happened to our formerly free country, and who do we have to dispatch to get back to normal?

Whereas most people just talk about crossing the Atlantic in a hamster wheel, Florida Man actually DOES it!
