Thanks to All for Prayers

Several weeks ago I posted a prayer request for my little dog. Through a veil of tears and terrible grief I have to report he passed away today. I want to thank all of you kind souls for the best wishes and prayers but it was not to be. We will keep praying and dwell on the Rainbow Bridge. God bless.

not to deminish your loss but I have fed a bunch of stray cats that have been around for years, they help with mice depopulation. I got in my car one morning and left and drove over a mile and stopped at a stop sign and I heard a low sounding thud or bump sound and checked all my mirrors and saw a cat that seemed to be one from our property run from what seemed like the back end of my car. sure enough next morning and every day since, one of the clan is missing. I miss it dearly and keep hoping it will come back. No way I can really try to get it back since it doesn’t let you pet it even. I can’t believe I was so attached to a stray. And that I am the reason it’s now a mile away! I hope it’s being fed, or at least ok.

I’ve been through the same loss and grief. My condolences for the kids of your beloved pup. It’s been years and I still miss my Pinky so much.

Prayer For Loss Of A Pet

Dear Heavenly Father, You made such a beautiful world and filled it with so much loveliness. Thank You for the animals and birds, and particularly for the pets that mean so much to us and which help to brighten the lives of so many people.

But Lord, You know that too often the lives of our pets pass away long before we do, and it is so hard to say goodbye when a faithful and much-loved animal is finally laid to rest.

So as we say our goodbyes to this special animal that we have all grown to love so much, I ask for Your loving-comfort to fill each of our hearts, knowing that we all are feeling an aching void inside.

Look down especially I pray, on all those who may be going through a similar heartbreak of losing of their own pet, especially I lift up those people that are old and lonely or infirm and isolated. Draw close to all who are mourning the loss of a pet today. May this be a time when each one of us draws closer to You, with grateful thanks for all Your goodness and grace to us. In Jesus’ name,
