Ivermectin was maliciously and purposefully portrayed as something it wasn't during the height of the pandemic. The media's and FDA's dishonesty on the issue was beyond grotesque and shameful.
This month, lawyers for the Food and Drug Administration admitted in a U.S. court that doctors “do have the authority to prescribe ivermectin to treat COVID”, an admission that stands at stark odds with a multiple year campaign to misinform, misalign and tarnish the reputation of one of the world’s most successful drugs, which could have been used to save hundreds of thousands of lives during the pandemic.
“FDA is clearly acknowledging that doctors have the authority to prescribe human ivermectin to treat COVID. So they are not interfering with the authority of doctors to prescribe drugs or to practice medicine,” Ashley Cheung Honold, lawyer representing the FDA said this month.

My wife has been on hydroxychloroquine for decades. She needs it for an autoimmune disease. When COVID hit, the pharmacy refused to fill it. We eventually convinced them it was not for COVID, but for her condition. (That pharmacy had been filling it for the last 30 years).
She later caught COVID and was hospitalized. The hospital refused to let her have HCQ even though her doctor said she might die without it.
She was in rough shape. After she was finally discharged, we were told she wasn’t supposed to have left the hospital alive.

I never understood why it was even an issue. So what if it is administered to livestock and horses. They administer penicillin and other anti-biotics to animals while also prescribing it for human usage, too. But nobody has ever made an issue of that fact.
They didn't demonize the "warp speed" vaccines now, did they?

Having a viable treatment interrupts the ability to use any experimental drug.
