Funny, they always sneer at the words”” free will””...I have never heard one ever say, yeah,I want to be forced into doing the right thing....ALL THE TIME...

I think a lot of people believe in a magic wand type of God. And if you look at creation it’s far from a wave of the magic wand. I’m thinking... timelessly linear.

The better argument is can God be all knowing and can you have free will? If he’s all knowing and knows your decisions and your end fate then it cannot be free will.

And likewise we assume that God would FORCE us to be where we don’t want to be- with Him.

so if
God is all powerful and all good, how does he allow someone to die of a painful disease?

Not many helpful answers for that one. Usually, “
God allows that so that we can see the good that comes out of tragedy’”....kind of a circular argument avoiding the basic question. No free will involved in tragic illness.

Most assuredly. That answer is so plain and obvious It wonders me that people still make that argument against God without first explaining away Free Will.

...can a Christian explain how God is all powerful and good in this case?

Short answer?

No.

I refer you to a few words that GOD said to Job near the end of the Book:

Where you there...?
