The way it works is a letter stands for another letter. For example: AXYDLBAAXR is LONGFELLOW (does not apply to today's cryptogram).
Beware, the game is very addictive. If this is your first time, don't be intimidated, you’ll be solving them all within a few days. If you’re stumped, take a break and return to it.
PLEASE DO NOT post the answer in general comments, but DO post your time and how you made out.
You can certainly send your solution to my private reply, or if you need a hint for today’s Cryptogram ASK THE GROUP FOR HELP!
I suggest printing these out and work them on paper. If you need a little help you can copy and paste it to Hal’s Helper below.
You can then work on the puzzle without using pen and paper, but I recommend that you do NOT look at the letter counter.
HAL'S CRYPTOGRAM HELPER
One last request. Feel free to post a fun or clever clue, the more tangential to the quotation the better, but please don’t put the actual words of the quote in the clue.
If you need a clue ask the group to send you a letter to your private reply.

HAL'S CRYPTOGRAM HELPER

This is a tough one for me to solve. Parts of it are easy and others have me scratching my head.
“JXTEX UE 1860” is the reason for the confusion (head scratching) in parts of this one.
Sunday morning amusement.
The title of the song refers to an Indian Chief, not a river. It has become conflated with the similarly named river.
And when you get a clue, it almost makes you want to say “AH-HA” ;-)
“Show Me”
Word 3 gives words 17 and 29, which gives words 25, which gives 26.
Then the whole thing opens up.
Oops I meant to type 20 not 29.
404 coffee not found error.
Finally
Eureka!
Wrong river, right name. The name refers to an Indian Chief, not the river.
Yikes. That’s a toughy. I had to peek at the posts for help, but all they did was tell me that I had already my own correct clues in place, so I knew my clues were right and I could keep poking at it. Finally got it done, but I have no idea about this.
I am embarrassed by how long this took me. I see the BYVKZKMEZY XTLVX on a regular basis. The song is popular at the park also named BYVKZKMEZY.
I thought it might be difficult. But fun!
