I was on a grand jury, some time back, and a case came up in which a young woman told the cop that pulled her over that she didn’t want to talk to him, and she drove home, obeying all of the traffic rules. He arrested her on a felony charge of evading. I’m not sure what came of it. Probably plead to a lesser charge, but I hope she learned something.

Right or wrong, cops can kill you. I keep this in mind.

“... young woman told the cop that pulled her over that she didn’t want to talk to him, and she drove home, obeying all of the traffic rules.”

You have the right to remain silent, but you’re still arrested/detained and have to act accordingly.
