Good Morning FRiends!
What a beautiful Sunday morning it is here! Sun shining, birds singing, light summer breeze blowing. Plus I have a giant juicy ripe tomato just waiting for me to slice up on toasted rye bread with some crispy bacon! A little scoop of mayo, a smattering of black pepper, and I’m in brunch paradise!
I’ll bet it is a relief when tourists take their tours back home. I can imagine, except I don’t get the being rude part at all. I would think when people are visiting somewhere they’d want to impress their hosts with good manners and kindness. I guess that’s from a different era. Or maybe another philosophy.....they don’t live there, so they don’t give a rat’s behind what anyone thinks of them.
In any case, three cheers for a return to normalcy!

Yes, really looking forward to getting our town back.
It has always been a gripe of us townies that the flatlanders are rude creatures.
Many years ago when Slaveway 1st came to the mountain, the manager, who was transferred from the valley, was overheard saying of some merchandise, “Just rub a little cow sh!t on it and the yokels will buy it!”
Needless to say, he didn’t last long.
If you hear someone banging on your front door, he’s a FRiend from the states and only wants you to fix him a BACON sandwich too. It sure sounds good!
Good Morning, or is it afternoon there now? I kind of left you hanging there last night. lol
My very favorite sandwich is a BLT. I planted two tomatoes bushes so have had lots of tomatoes, although small. It looks like they are just about done ripening though so I will have lots of green ones. Have you ever had fried green tomatoes? Yummy!

Saw a great idea for a salad.
BLT salad.
Bacon, crispy croutons, tomatoes and lettuce.
She made a homemade dressing but i did not write it down.
It looked great.
