Ford is retiring three internal combustion engine models – the Escape, Edge and Transit Connect – to make room for new electric vehicles.

Legacy automobile companies that have been producing internal combustion engine vehicles for decades have been addicted to their gas-powered models as electric vehicles began to make their mark over the past dozen or so years. Those companies have slowly begun to make commitments to transition to all-electric, but some have been changing at a snail's pace.

Until the aliens give us the technology to make free electricity, this will be a huge flop.

But we can SAVE IY by Mandating ALL Public Employee’s nationwide be prohibited from using any ICE powered vehicle for transportation.

I guess 32 billion in losses isn’t enough.

Side note, I was looking at some 23-24 Nissan’s, some had 3 cylinder engines with turbos. I was shocked.

EV’s are just another level down in the strip-mining and control of the US population for neo-marxist goals.
EVs certainly are not cheaper to buy. They are not environmentally friendly, they are not efficient, their repair is costly

Even more Americans will be pushed to the edge of financial viability.

Gavin Newsom and California officials have decreed, that no new internal combustion vehicles can be sold in California in 2035. Only 12 years to go on that.

A few other states are using the 2035 target date as well.

A few European countries are working towards 2035 too, to phase out the internal combustion engine.

Supposedly these car companies see the handwriting on the wall, that they need to convert to all electric eventually.

Then again, Ford lost billions of dollars on electric vehicle conversion last year, according to financial reports. Can these companies afford this transition? Are they getting tax credits, or some other benefits, for the transition?

Audi is next. They are all in on the EV craze and will phase out ICE vehicles in the next 5-7 years. Buh-bye.

My bet is the people in charge of these businesses are getting nice fat kickbacks and could not care less about the shareholders or consumers.

That will fill the gap until the new wind-up cars are perfected.

Be sure you look at parts costs. I’ve seen lots of references lately about Nissan parts being significantly more expensive than Honda and Toyota. Quality on Korean and American vehicles is lower than before COVID and European cars have reached peak technostupid.

“”Ford retires gas-powered cars in electric vehicle expansion””

Ford retires gas-powered cars in electric vehicle expansion FOR AS LONG AS THE IDIOTS WILL PAY THEM.

There, fixed it.

When regular people buy cars, car companies try to make the vehicles people desire. When the government pays a car company, they will make whatever the government pays them to make (as long as the gov $$$ last, just like Solyndra). Just like the old Soviet Union tractor factories. Inside people were ‘working’ to build tractors. Outside, thousands of brand new tractors, rusting and rotting. Imagine being one of the tractor factory workers, walking by all the outside tractors on your way to work.

The car company of the future, with the most sales, will be...

company that continues to build what the consumer wants...

and that’s gas-powered cars.

Whatever company continues to make the gas-powered cars, should take advantage and advertise replacements for the cars that get terminated, like the Escape and Edge and whatever else.
