Single mom venting about how tough things are right now.
Somewhere I once read,
“The fact that she’s a single mother tells you everything you need to know about her decision making ability”.
I did watch the video. Hated it. If I strip away her and her language, hearing parts of that from many people would invoke high sympathy, if not empathy.
But in her case it didn’t, and perhaps that is shallow on my part. I accept that. But any man with a brain bigger than the one between his legs would run from her, and fast. A life with her would likely be misery and torture for a man.
Those were her life choices.
And I will bet she has a nice car, top of the line cell phone, generous Internet plan, large flat panel television, home computers, iPads, and still buys lots of treats, snacks and non-essential meal items when she goes grocery shopping.
And, without knowing her circumstances or who she voted for, I cannot fully comment on whether she “deserves” it or not.
But she made the choice to raise those kids she bore on her own. If she wasn’t married and the guy left her, that is on her for implicitly (I cannot say explicitly) supporting the notion that you can raise children on your own, hold down a job, and provide appropriately.
She is lamenting that she might have to rent out her child’s room to a renter, and move her child into her room with her. I have news for her. That is historically the kind of thing that was done (especially prior to WWII) and when she gets tight enough, she might have to do that too.
Sure. It can be done, and has been done, but in all likelihood, not the way she is doing it.
Women’s Liberation deliberately destroyed the protections that society has built up to protect women over a period of centuries, all in the name of “women’s rights”. The Feminist Movement has left her with little, and they aren’t going to step up and help her. They have themselves to think about, don’t you know.
Women like this are why the woman and I are childfree.

Start with minimizing your fake eyelash budget, your fake fingernails budget, your piercings budget, and the expected influencer income from your perceived online followers.
If there’s any residuals, reinvest it in your family. The returns will be significantly more valuable.
She’s complaining that she only gets $300 a month in child support for 2 kids.
That’s entirely dependent upon how much money the dad makes.
If she’s only getting $300 a month for 2 kids, he isn’t making a whole lot of money.
His earning potential may or may not have been evident when she decided to have 2 kids with him.

You have no way on earth of knowing that just from watcing that video. You just don’t know.

I am surrised at the hostility of the comments. I got no sense at all that she was demanding entitlements, she was merely stating facts about her situation. She kept saying something needs to be done. Well, does it, in some way or other? If something isn’t done, the nation will be destroyed.
I have little sympathy for her. All you have to do is hear them speak...dropping the F bomb every sentence. She had kids but is not marriage material. I’d bet she ended any relationship with the father, probably thinking child support would give her an easy time. She’s probably a narcissist, this shouldn’t be happening “to her”.
Rinse repeat, it’s an epidemic with western women today. They all think they’re a 10. They think nothing of dumping a good father & husband due to the assumption they can just “get something better”.
The reason we hear nothing but “toxic masculinity” is because the opposite is true, we’re surrounded by narcissistic women that believe they’re too good for everyone...pointing out everything “wrong with men” when they should be looking in the mirror.

My wife and I raised 4 children
Three of them are biological children and one was adopted from a drug addicted teenage prostitute.
They were homeschooled.
The to oldest boys went on to become Marines. One is now a lineman and the other is going to school for engineering.
They are both great Christian men, married and both couples are welcoming new fathers to my first grandchildren. They were both taught to be gentlemen and went to basic training in the Marine Corps with their peers knowing they had only virtuous relationships with women. They were exceptional Marines.
My daughter finished her schooling went on to college and is now married to a fine Christian man. They will be having children in the near future.
My adopted son, who was an extreme special need child, is now actually living on his own and working and a positive contributing member of society against what all his counselors and state workers expected. It was not without much care and work on behalf of my wife’s part. It was 24/7 intensive interaction for many years especially once he hit puberty.
Children are what the parents make them.
Spot on. Seen it. Almost took the bait once myself, but came to my senses. Felt horrible about having been yet another stranger passing through the life of an impressionable four-year old boy (who was a great little kid). Never again.
Her expletive-laden diatribe, combined with her overall sneering demeanor, the nose-ring, and the mere fact that she chose to post her self-pitying rant to Twitter for all the world to see, all just oozed a profound sense of egotism and entitlement.
Most damning of all was the fact that she didn't mention with a syllable the guilt that, e.g., the Biden administration might bear for her hardships. Nothing she said even hinted at that.
Or, in other word, the disaster that is Biden has really no effect on people’s lives after all, to extend your logic.
Nothing in my posting - including my not mentioning him - can be fairly construed as my excusing or exculpating Biden. I take it as a given that he committed numerous grave errors that have contributed to the situation we are now all in. But no one with even remotely conservative leanings would have expressed himself the way that this woman has.

She called it a rant. Still can’t see a cry for entitlement; help, but nothing about entitlement. She said she worked 7 day weeks.

I agree with you. Self-righteous "conservatives" immediately jumped to the conclusion that she elected to be a single mom, without considering that she may have had a husband who cut and run, got involved with drugs, or some other legitimate reason for her to have to provide the kids with a home and safety. I applaud her for working and caring about her kids.
I had to stop you there. Men spend billions a year on prostitution in this country alone, much of which goes to abusive pimps and human traffickers. That's besides what men as a group spend every year in strip bars and drugs.
And it's women who lack discipline? Seriously?

Marriage needs to return. I feel for her but she bought a bill of goods thinking she could make it as a single mom.
There is no faster path to poverty than single motherhood.
This goes to men as well. They need to marry the women they knock up.
