Dupixent Cost

Posted on 08/26/2023 3:01:33 PM PDT by STJPII

My wife has developed a horrible skin rashes, size of grapefruits. Doctor prescribed Dupixent because nothing else is working after other medications and light therapy. Anyone else gone through this?

Isn’t that stuff basically chemotherapy? It shuts down your immune system?

that’s generally a liver issue and I would start investigating NATURAL healing for the liver and stay away from drugs. They are never meant to heal; only cover up symptoms.

You might want to find a reputable Naturath in your area...it will cost you, but likely save $$ and health in the long run

Have sent a prayer. Otherwise, can only recommend researching the treatments recommended so that you can both keep an eye on what’s helping and what isn’t or what might be detrimental.

If there is a history of the mRNA injections, my BIL has been fighting a skin rash which the docs are throwing things at. I got him the "horse paste" via mail order -- it is a paste with ivermectin at 1.87 percent in a non-reactove carrier -- to apply externally. Used as a rub-on, it seems to be providing relief and some remission. Work in progress....

Good luck and best wishes.

Ivermectin Horse paste- cheap- rub it on.It has helped me and friends in so, so many ways. A woman I know rubbed it on her pre- cancerous ( Melanoma?) spot, three weeks later- healed.

“NATURAL healing for the liver”

Supplements containing milk thistle, artichoke and dandelion come to mind.

It looks as though the doctor thinks she is having an allergic reaction, but only judging by the Dupixent medication information. LED therapy is used for inflammation and for acne/rosacea, depending on whether it’s red or blue or a combination. You probably already know this all too well. Will send more prayers for swift healing!

One of my daughters had an issue like this. Fresh raw Aloe Vera sap applied topically and left on helped clear them up great. But of course that doesn’t cure the issue causing them.

exactly. I would also look into a liver flush which is drinking a tablespoon of epsom salts in warm water and a 1/4 cup of olive oil. Sounds grosser than it is but it will really help to flush things and get it moving. Also warm castor oil packs on the liver with a heating pad.

My position is to avoid drugs, legal and illegal, at ALL costs. The root word of sorcery, which God tells us to avoid, is pharmakeia. Speaks volumes

My wife had a similar auto immune disease called Bullous Pempigoid. They treat it with cellcep, which is a cancer drug. Unfortunately, it is unusable, but curable. She should consult with a dermatologist if she hadn’t already.

Or maybe a psychopath would be even cheaper.

https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Dupilumab

“Dupilumab, sold under the brand name Dupixent, is a monoclonal antibody blocking interleukin 4 and interleukin 13, used for allergic diseases such as eczema (atopic dermatitis), asthma and nasal polyps which result in chronic sinusitis.[4][5][6][2] It is also used for the treatment of eosinophilic esophagitis[7] and prurigo nodularis.[8]”

so, what is the doc’s diagnosis, anyway? ... difficult to know what alternatives there might be without a specific diagnosis ... for example, if diagnosis is eczema AND wife has multiple autoimmune diseases, hydroxychloroquine, which is cheap and generally has a very low side-effect profile, can often work quite well... also, wife might need to see an allergist or rheumatologist given that so many dermatologists are practically worthless when it comes to autoimmune skin rashes ...

I’ve been using Dupixent for 3 yrs for atopic dermatitis. My skin on my face was red and cracked and I looked like the Thing. It took 4 months of every other week injections to clear it up. As an earlier poster wrote it blocks interleukins 4 and 13. I did some research on my own and discovered that for me WHEAT in any form would trigger an inflammation. I haven’t knowingly eaten WHEAT in 3 yrs and only have to inject every 6-10 weeks. I pay zero $ between my insurance and contacting the Dupixent mfgr for a help to pay for card?

Pharmacy tech here.

If you wish to stay with the pharmaceutical route, consult the doc about less expensive alternatives if they haven’t already been tried, and there is assistance available from the manufacturer.

I promise, these docs have NO clue what is expensive for your insurance, on backorder, etc. Have conversations about alternatives before leaving the office.

Homeopathy is the best route to take. Natural remedies, supplements, etc.
But there’s something else that she can try in addition, and it may just work to clear those awful sores—-
Boudreaux’s Butt Paste.

Kills and clears up any kind of weird sore that nothing else seems to work on. Dries it up, clears it up. Then use Aloe Vera gel (not straight from the plant but the regular they sell in stores with or without lidocaine).

Heals the scars up or prevents them.
