This same 14 hours of daily fasting is what has been found to help normalize blood sugar in diabetics.
Interesting.

I have been practicing intermittent fasting now for about 8 weeks or so and I like it. diets are hard to stick to but this is a lot easier for me. My model is 16/8. I have lunch at noon each day and don't eat anything after 8 at night. By lunch time I have a great appetite and enjoy my lunch. My reasons for doing this was to lose some weight and so far I have been able to shed about 7 or 8 pounds and not gain it back. Oh I do have 1 cup of black coffee in the morning to get me going. Another reason I am doing this type of fasting is because my sugar and cholesterol levels have been on the rise. I will have my blood tested in February and I will see if this helps.
Thanks for posting the article, it's interesting.

People with Old Timers is usually older folks possible retired or not working.
Observation is these older folks eat supper around 1700 and breakfast at 0700 or later.
They have met or exceeded the 14 hour “fast” on a normal bases and still get Old Timers as in my Dad’s example.

Thanks! This is good! I have begun to eat after 11:30am and have dinner finished by 6:30/7:00.
No Idea about blood sugar, but have have dropped about 15 pounds this summer.

I’ve been doing this fast for about six months now. I’m down to my high school weight and now want to just put on more muscle. I love it.
