Reggie Chaney, a former college basketball player known for his contributions to the Houston Cougars’ Final Four run in 2021 and played with the Arkansas Razorbacks, passed away on Monday at the age of 23.
His death was confirmed by a person close to the Cougars basketball team, according to the Houston Chronicle.
The exact cause of his death remains unknown.
Chaney began his basketball career with the Arkansas Razorbacks. Under the guidance of head coach Eric Musselman, Chaney quickly made a name for himself as a relentless worker and a beloved teammate.
However, after two seasons with the Razorbacks, he made the decision to transfer to the University of Houston and joined the Houston Cougars.
University of Houston president Renu Khator released a statement following the sudden death of Chaney.
“Cougar family mourns the loss of Reggie Chaney, the giant among giants of Houston basketball… the news has left us with sad and heavy hearts,”
Not to leave out leave out murdered. Young black men of that age group kill each other all the time.
WHERE THE HELL ARE THE FAMILIES?
I may be wrong, but didn't nearly every university mandate the shots and boosters for everyone playing sports? Going under that assumption, if this happened to someone in my family, I'd be camping out at the capitol with a megaphone screaming all day that the jab killed my loved-one, or at the very least I would be publicly demanding an autopsy to specifically look for jab-induced myocarditis. Yet we don't hear a PEEP from the families.
Bullet holes would have been a give away ... even the dumbest doctor would have spotted have spotted them.
It has been discussed before elsewhere. Attempts were made to show how 2020 killed off lots of old folks so 2021 would not have a target rich environment for the virus and kill fewer.
Proved wrong. Delta was far more deadly per equivalent case than the original strain, and there was no vax widely out yet.
As for now, the dice are out there rolling until they find a vax resistant variant that kills worse than Delta.
There is no good news about that virus. Thinking you will get less deaths because they already died faces the problem of people growing older and entering the next category/cohort.
