Just guesses on my part, but I would not be surprised one bit that her training might be a root cause of the problem:
1. She had far too much de-escalation training and used that as her #1 approach.

That was my first thought - most likely she has a one second window where she can fire without being brought up on charges...she missed that window.
Bigger question: Why are they allowing women to get into those situations without any male escorts?
Cops are hesitating before shooting blacks, afraid of triggering riots, or having racist prosecutors come after them.
If she shot a Black Guy, she’s had it.
She was probably trying to figure the odds that she’d be put up on murder charges because he only had a hammer. That’s why cops are leaving in droves.
I was introduced to a new state trooper this past week. A woman all of 4’10”. I kid you not.
