Just guesses on my part, but I would not be surprised one bit that her training might be a root cause of the problem:
1. She had far too much de-escalation training and used that as her #1 approach.
2. She was probably scared to death of shooting a black man and the resulting screams of “RACIST” that would be leveled at her.

That was my first thought - most likely she has a one second window where she can fire without being brought up on charges...she missed that window.

Bigger question: Why are they allowing women to get into those situations without any male escorts?

She waited way too long. On the opposite end is the officer who shoots the guy standing still in the original position just because they are holding a hammer 60 feet away. But in this case, as soon as this guy was running toward her then she should have blasted him away.

My guess is that she never learned that her gun is a tool, just like a hammer.
