Yeah, I went out this morning and tidied up the tomato sprawl and grabbed every tomato that was showing even the slightest sign of color and they can ripen indoors.
Need to run to the store real quick and then I’m indoors for the day. Found a really good youtube channel that teaches electrical/hydraulics and automation. Will help with work and my tunnel project.
I remember the 2011/2012 heat wave years. 2012 is when we spent the summer tearing down a two story house. The materials became this place. I doubt I could do it now.
It’s 93 degrees outside and 117 in the greenhouse!
I moved Mums and Zinnia seedlings (about 1/2 grown) to a bench outside in the shade for the day - they’d be cooked by now if I’d have forgotten them.
I took apart the puppies’ kennel so they have nice airflow in there, now. I had a tarp over top for rain, but no rain predicted for at least 10 days out. Both have moved to a shady side of the house where they’re sleeping in the dirt.
Kennel dogs were only out until 11am - I moved everyone IN where it was shaded and about 20 degrees cooler. Everyone is a lazy lump today - and I am, too! :)
