No, the pour on will definitely not work for humans. Get the injectable but obviously do not inject it, drink it.
You don't need much of a house when the weather is nearly perfect year round. Many of the older homes in Hawaii are just shacks with electricity and plumbing. The houses built after haole invasion in the sixties are more like what you may be used to in CONUS.

I wouldn’t get pour on. I bought the injectable for my cats. In all my years of owning cats, none have ever had ear mites. I move to Colorado.. and this year.. boom, all 4 have been struggling. My breeder said buy the injectable and put a drop in all cats’ ears. They are already on Revolution.

I can’t comment on the pour-on ivermectin, other than to say that it is designed for a hair-covered animal. The hair would slow and deflect some absorption, so the volume of ivermectin would not hit the skin directly, but would seep in. Some would be lost. No idea how this formulation would affect humans. I do have a friend who used it to treat their dog for scabies, and accidently way overdosed him because they were guessing the amount needed.
So maybe dosage dangers are the reason these warnings have not been removed. Lowest dose listed for pour-on is 250 pounds.
