I am fascinated by the attempts by UMCRevMom@aol.com as addressed to you to paint ONLY Russia as a problem regarding trafficking ans the like, rather than completing a clearer and fuller picture of thugs working in Ukraine as well as Russia (and of course human trafficking is a worldwide problem even her in the US).

Both nations have significant problems within their borders as regards trafficking, such that any "argument by omission" to imply the simplistic Leftist model of "oppressed and oppressor" is fallacious.

UMCRevMom@aol.com has detailed and sent to you her references, I send along some additional references (more available, if you request) showing Ukraine as corrupt and involved also in trafficking. Here are two from different pages from which she cited sources. Same sources, but these about Ukraine trafficking.

1) "2023 Trafficking in Persons Report: Ukraine"
Source: https://www.state.gov/reports/2023-trafficking-in-persons-report/ukraine/

2) "Increasing reports of sexual violence and human trafficking in Ukraine — allegedly committed against women and children in the context of massive displacement and ongoing fighting — are raising “all the red flags” about a potential protection crisis, the Executive Director of the United Nations gender agency warned the Security Council today."
In "Mounting Reports of Crimes against Women, Children in Ukraine Raising ‘Red Flags’ over Potential Protection Crisis, Executive Director Tells Security Council"
Source: https://press.un.org/en/2022/sc14857.doc.htm

The "oppressor" indeed may be shown to have problems with human trafficking. Oddly, the "oppressed" has the same problems.

The image of an innocent party, in these threads, is a mirage.

These are two non-NATO nations at war, and the West have bought into the white hat / black hat imagery, well constructed in media but hiding something behinds the scenes.

Corruption across the world, including Russia, Ukraine, NATO nations and, in detail, even this militaristic Biden administration.

Two wrongs don't make a right.

Yoyucrayne's deeply involved with human slavery, child trafficking and illicit organ harvesting as much, if not more, than Russia is. It is, and for decades has been, one of the most corrupt nations in Europe and as such should never see a single penny of US taxpayers' hard earned money.

Based on my direct experiences it is my opinion that this sort of vileness is prominent in most Eastern European countries that were under the boot of communism for 80 years. Eastern Europe is filled with sociopaths, people with damaged souls and black hearts who will do anything, and I mean anything for money. Because of that I avoid dealing with Eastern Europeans, especially Russians and Ukrainians, whenever I can.

…never - and I mean never- contact me unsolicited again. Got it? That is a clear violation of the commenting rules you so love to rub others' faces in. I don't want to hear your unsolicited, highly selective, finger-wagging crap ever again.

What Rocco said that I italicized above goes for me as well.

And remember this and adhere to it:

We are conservatives. Be respectful to your debate adversary (fellow FReeper). For example, do not accuse them of being a "Putinista", "comrade", "murderer", "baby-killer", etc, just because he may have a difference of opinion whether or not the US government should be involved in a controversial foreign war where we were not attacked. -Jim Robinson

And remember this as well:

Finally, if someone says STOP, then STOP! If someone asks you to take them off your ping list, then take them off! If someone asks you to stop posting to them, the adult and polite thing to do is to accommodate them. -Jim Robinson

So STOP. NOW.

Got it??

There is a intentional attempt to misinterpret information creating a mirage to disguise "Russia Human Trafficking Raising 'Red Flags' over Potential Protection Crisis." LOOK CLOSER AT YOUR ARTICLE SOURCES: ARTICLE 1. https://www.state.gov/reports/2023-trafficking-in-persons-report/russia/ <<>> The Government of Russia does not fully meet the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking and IS NOT MAKING SIGNIFICANT EFFORTS TO DO SO. UKRAINE (Tier 2) The Government of Ukraine does not fully meet the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking but is making significant efforts to do so. The government demonstrated overall increasing efforts compared with the previous reporting period; therefore Ukraine remained on Tier 2. These efforts included significantly increasing cooperation with European counterparts on anti-trafficking investigations despite diminished resources and capacity due to Russia’s full-scale war against Ukraine. For the second consecutive year, the government also allocated more money to its national budget for anti-trafficking measures. Finally, the government increased awareness efforts, especially among displaced Ukrainians, and screened for potential trafficking victims amongst vulnerable populations. During the reporting period, Ukraine’s government operated on a total-war footing to withstand Russia’s unprovoked full-scale invasion, PERFORMING A RANGE OF CORE FUNCTIONS TO MITIGATE TRAFFICKING RISKS DESPITE MAJOR WAR-RELATED CHALLENGES, CONTINUED RUSSIAN STRIKES ON UKRAINIAN CULTURE AND CRITICAL INFRASTRUCTURE TARGETS, and DISPLACEMENT OF NEARLY ONE-THIRD OF UKRAINE'S POPULATION, MANY OF WHOM FACED INCREASED HUMAN TRAFFICKING RISKS. <<>> The Government of Russia does not fully meet the minimum standards for the elimination of trafficking and IS NOT MAKING SIGNIFICANT EFFORTS TO DO SO https://www.state.gov/reports/2023-trafficking-in-persons-report/russia/ ARTICLE 2. The source "Mounting Reports of Crimes against Women, Children in Ukraine Raising ‘Red Flags’ over Potential Protection Crisis, Executive Director Tells Security Council" Source: https://press.un.org/en/2022/sc14857.doc.htm Describes in detail <<< This article is about the Russian Federation abuse of Ukrainian women and children.>>> discloses the Russian Federation has launched a policy of extermination against his people, he said, also noting that Ms. Cherepakha’s snapshot of the repressions being committed against Ukrainian women are just a few instances of many. Against that backdrop, the national prosecutor’s office is launching a special mechanism to document sexual violence committed by RUSSIAN SOLDIERS against Ukrainian women, and is closely cooperating with non-governmental groups and United Nations officials working in a similar capacity on the ground. The meeting began at 10:05 a.m. and ended at 12:59 p.m. Request by RUSSIAN FEDERATION TO REMOVE AGENDA ITEMS PERTAINING TO UKRAINE. Briefings SIMA BAHOUS, Executive Director, United Nations Entity for Gender Equality and the Empowerment of Women (UN-Women), expressed solidarity with Ukrainian women, men, girls and boys, stressing that the fighting must stop now. She recently returned from the Republic of Moldova, which despite still reeling from COVID-19 and other challenges, has opened its borders and homes for people fleeing fighting in Ukraine, mostly exhausted and anxious women and children. Sharing some of their stories, she said buses full of civilians were met with dignity and compassion by volunteers from civil society organizations at the Moldovan border. In line with its coordination mandate, she said, UN-Women is supporting those who have been displaced “to ensure that the gendered nature of this crisis is addressed with a gender-sensitive response”. “This trauma risks destroying a generation,” she warned, condemning in the strongest terms the recent attack on Kramatorsk train station, which killed civilians and civil society members working in partnership with the United Nations. “Humanitarians are not a target; civilians are not a target,” she stressed. Also citing allegations of rape and sexual violence perpetrated on those fleeing, she said the large numbers of displaced persons with the presence of conscripts and mercenaries — and the brutality displayed against Ukrainians in the current conflict — “raises all the red flags”. “A war of this magnitude impacts the world far beyond the borders of Ukraine,” she added, noting that the risk of human trafficking is increasing, with young women and teenagers at the highest risk. Calling on all countries to support the Republic of Moldova and other neighboring countries with resources and support, she said through all those horrors, women continue to lead and serve their communities. They make up 80 per cent of all health and social care workers in Ukraine, and many have chosen not to flee. Women parliamentarians, as well as Ukraine’s Deputy Prime Minister, continue their work as bombs fall all around them. Saluting their courage, she said: “They do this at great risk to their own lives.”

Your condescension isn’t working. Everytime you lecture us on the difference between compliance and obedience, you are implying you are above us, schooling us on standard terms we already know, and you do it while posting JR’s rules which we already know, and now you’re doing so repeatedly to harass us. You are violating Jim Rob’s rules that you quote by insulting us repeatedly.

Stop harassing me with your condescending repetitive posts.

Thank you for your reply and observations, always erudite and always on point.

It remains a singular puzzlement, to me at least, as to why these certain troublesome, troublemaking, individuals, to whom almost everyone here recognizes, are still allowed to continue with this agenda that has a negative impact on the website at large. If the individuals in question are profiting by their activities here, which seems readily apparent, it seems again intuitive that they are working at cross-purposes to the spirit and mission of Free Republic, and should be summarily shut down.

I noted 2 posts of said individual removed in this particular thread, including the “doctored” version of Mr. Robinson’s edict, directly targeted at her opponents (”exposers”) of her agenda and thoroughly unsolicited (as I and some of the others reminded her of). However, more likely than merely being found to be “delete-worthy”, probably removed by request of the poster to eradicate more examples of her hypocritical behavior (I could be wrong). But, as I said, examples of deleted posts made by her attacking others are almost non-existent, contrasted with mine, which have been, where this globalist propagandizing dispute is concerned, removed with malice for doing nothing more than calling her out and defending myself in the process.

That ship sailed as soon as I and other respected posters here called out their globalist propagandizing. I don’t understand why they’re allowed to continue to pollute FR with an anti-Conservative agenda from anti-Conservative sources and open fire with personal attacks ad infinitum on the rest of us for pointing it out. This small group of troublemakers has inflicted considerable damage on FR over the past 2 years.

--- "...the “doctored” version of Mr. Robinson's edict..."

The citation of a portion of a text can sometimes be thought of as a simple quotation. In debate as in a courtroom, the whole text or at least a "missing" portion is the correct and always allowed retort.

In the case of this and the preceding months of "give us our daily thread, amen™," when the Robinson "rules" are cited, the text, but only in part, is sometimes characterized as "helpful hint" and the like. This is part of the overall debate strategy in which the pretense is to "help."

Of course, it is meant to blunt an argument or intimidate another, and this on the only thread I observed within the broad span of Free Republic threads without any "removed by moderator" sorts of messages. As if there is something quite individual and specific in this particular "give us our daily thread, amen™," thread.

Thus, assiduously ignored is another portion of Robinson's text, which acknowledges " a difference of opinion whether or not the US government should be involved in a controversial foreign war where we were not attacked."

Source: https://freerepublic.com/focus/f-news/4166577/posts?page=1
That there are some who do not fit mold the "Zelensky fan club" for other perspectives is so often characterized by the cheap debate tactic of minimizing alternatives and then assigning an opponent to a stance not declared. Ergo, not-Z is P, because no other alternatives are as easily debated as that.

Here is my and many others' alternative stance: "not my circus." Why?

$32,698,837,251,456.00 and rising rapidly.
The above number, which I just copy-paste from yesterday's comment is already out of date, as the precarious debt position of our United States grows more precarious each and every day. And each and every day a 'monetized' Swiss vlogger -- Denys Davydov -- headlines this particular thread while the Biden-Blinken-Nuland administration puts more on the national credit card for his and some others' favorite "charity."

Looks to me like a promotional effort. Pointing this out has at times seemed to have been answered with, as you observed, "...the “doctored” version of Mr. Robinson's edict..."

Best wishes.

“Remember the reporting from Vietnam? I do. Right there and present.”

Funny thing about that conflict. They reported on Vietnam but not on Laos.

Spent several weeks there at a place we called Long Chen. On OP. They did mange to pull us out after the Air Force started carpet bombing though so I will give them that.

To this day, they are digging up unexploded ordinance and disposing of it. A lot of it 500 pound bombs and a lot of it cluster munitions. Some 40 thousand estimated have either died or have been maimed as a result of that.

And I wasnt in the military either..so figure it out.

Am married to a Slav. A Slavic Fin. Lived around them for a good portion of my life. These people are cold hearted.

There are two types of Fins. Slavic and Scandinavian. And they really do not get along real well with each other.

The Slavic Russian DNA was primarily found to be Fin when they did a study as well as a good portion of the Ukrainian Slavs.
As my Polish friend said. They wont give up, neither of them.

Look at Jen Psaki..she is Slavic Fin.

Where they got that I dont know.

It seems so easy to kick consequences into the future and then hope that future won't visit you.

When Robert McNamara made his book tour and all after Vietnam and expected to get applauded an after-the-fact change of heart, he was soundly rejected by many. And rightly so. But, people forget, unless they carry a scar with them.

I do appreciate your comments regrarding Ukraine.

Isn’t it interesting that Allegra is so forgetful that I had asked her not to direct her comments to me. But, little does it matter. She says nothing on topic only comments to smear other. Hard to name call when she is ignored... except of course what she comments to me! LOL Otherwise, I just skim.

I had shared:
“Try to remember the Free Republic Standards of Mr. Robinson posted He requested your compliance. This is dis-similar from obedience, in that the the request for change is often in a position of authority. Compliance does not rely upon power.

What Is Compliance?
In psychology, compliance refers to changing one’s behavior at the request or direction of another person.

When you counter his standards your lack of self-censoring shows complete disrespect for Mr. Robinson.”

She insisted upon adding the whole comment by Mr. Robinson which is fine with me as I do NOT comment with: abusive posts, name-calling, taunting, trolling, stalking, flame-baiting, insults, religious insults, flames, threats, ill-wishes, harassing & annoying posts, unwanted posts & FReepmail, etc, etc, etc

There is no point in naming or directing derogatory comments toward these disruptive individuals. Everyone knows them & their behavior. Some have even gone to other threads to insult me. However, all know the truth
