On Tuesday, Ohio voters resoundingly rejected Issue One, an attempt by Republican legislators to change the rules of the state's ballot initiative process designed to sabotage an upcoming vote on an amendment to protect reproductive rights.
Republicans had clearly hoped that this rules change would fly under the radar in a low-turnout August vote. It didn't pan out that way. Activists on the ground in Ohio recognized the threat, mobilized to get national attention, and successfully got out the vote around the state. Our organization, , was one of several national networks to support them. Once again, the pro-choice, pro-democracy side won out.
It's becoming clear: a little more than a year after the overturned Roe v. Wade, the decision has created an electoral undertow that is pulling out to sea. One might dismiss a single referendum, special election, or midterm as a fluke. But the aggregate data of the last 14 months paints a clear picture.

You will never win by trying to force morality on people. That is why Republicans MUST try to keep the focus on State Rights vs. Federal Rights. They keep letting the left dictate the argument instead of focusing on the real issue - This is a Republic, NOT a Democracy. That is where the fight is.
Abortion always needed to work it’s way through the system and was only not done decades ago because of Roe. We are losing in areas because of it, but once it’s settled everywhere they will pivot to climate. It’s all they have other than keeping us at each others throats over race, etc.
It will be a long challenge to beat this but we have to win ultimately. We are doomed otherwise. They truly are clueless to the world and our enemies will pick our bones.
Young people are increasingly proving to be Pro-life. Hispanics are Pro-life as well.
They will keep on with all of their fake causes, even abortion. It’s never enough with these people. They’re never happy and they hate humanity, especially the West. It goes on and on and it gets worse and worse. I’m not very hopeful of comity in our nation.

Until law and order is restored, the voting booth is lost and a waste of time.. :(

Where’s the organization and coordination on the right? Seems like the pro-death folks and the left in general always have their loyal foot soldiers at the ready for fights like this while we just sit around with our thumbs up our asses.

When there are machines made in Communist China that handle all elections down to counting ballotts on petitions at state, county and city level ?
Same day in person paper ballotts hand counted or the country is lost.

No 2024 is about abortion because the demonkkraps get to tell us what we will talk about in the public square ... and as we get closer to the election the fake race card, education and evil pharmaceutical companies will be added to their issues. Demonkkraps get to decide what the issues are and just like the fake moderator in presidential debates ... use the corporate media to keep the demonkkrap “issues” front and center and the only ones we talk about.

Evidently elections can be won with a pro-life message. We need to focus on eliminating the vote fraud. Our message is good.
IMHO we ought to graphically describe the steps of some abortion practices every day. We ought to make Dims own their push for "aborting" a baby even after birth. We ought to make the Dims own the gruesome procedure of partial birth abortion in which a baby is pulled out feet first, keeping the head in temporarily so he's not technically born yet, the "nurse" holds his arms and legs still, and the "doctor" worms a suction tube with a sharp point to puncture his skull and literally suck his brains out. At that point, the "nurse" no longer has to hold the "clump of cells" arms and legs. This still happens literally thousands of times per year -- way more than the white-on-black murders the Dims rioted in 2020 over.
If everybody everyday heard what goes on in abortion the pro-life message would win most of the U.S.
Advice from NEWSWEAK? Serioudly? Its no longer a FEDERAL issue. Its now local. And the cabdidates should ckearly enunciate that.
I hate sounding so negative, but I believe it is realistic.
I could care less, let people who worship money and comfort whine. I am more concerned about the those denied birth as well as the metaphysical repercussions if society keeps allowing humans to murder their offspring at will. Our foundation is corroding partly due to abortion on demand yet many here think this country can be saved by embracing that evil practice.

Linda Graham, who doesn't even give a rip about the subject, will come out again and declare that the GOP will outlaw it nationally - anything to sandbag the 2024 election and prevent him having a majority in the Senate where he might be tasked with actually doing something instead of showvoting.
Don’t disagree and no they won’t quit. Ever. We just need to oral away the small part and control our red areas. They play the long game. We better learn how.
I understand all the arguments against abortion, and they are good ones. But IMHO, we are well past the point where we can afford to dwell on this refinement of civilization. Let them snuff out their foul spawn. We can deal with it after we have saved Western Civilization.
