In the 1990s and 2000s, we were mostly winning culture wars type referendums on issues like homosexual "marriage". Erosion of Biblical values as evidenced by numerous measurements, like church attendance, and the Left continuing its long march through the institutions, which began in the late 19th Century, ended the "good and great American people". You may get people to support conservative positions on economic matters. There may also be pushback when the Left goes too far, like drag queen story hour. But paganism and amorality reign supreme in the "land of the free, home of the brave".
I hate sounding so negative, but I believe it is realistic.
