The pool is private to the residents of that apartment. The brat does not live in that apartment and keeps going to the pool. The manager has to keep throwing him out. This time the brat was rude and mouthy to the manager so she dumped cola on his had and slapped his face. Now the community is angry at her because she did this AND the father and kid don't understand why the brat can't use a pool that does not belong to them.
The father condoned his brats actions
I don't condone what the manager did but I get why she lost her cool. I do think she should have called the police on the brat.
Then people like this wonder why Scott Adams says the stuff he says
This is the same mentality that says they can shoplift a thousand dollars and walk out of the store unmolested.
The mother probably uses the pool and the apartments to babysit her son so she doesn’t have to
The Entitled Class is entitled to swim in your pool.
Just as they are entitled to shoplift from your store.
And no. You can’t throw soda on them.
I do think she should have called the police on the brat.”
My money is on she has and it got her nowhere
Hmmm.....blacks don’t usually swim well. Just sayin’.
Okay, people in pool that don’t live there, call the police, even close the pool until they arrive, but NEVER assault a kid. Lucky the parent, even if facilitating illegal activity, didn’t kill the apartment manager in self-defense.
The parents have enlisted the legal help of several prominent attorneys including Ben Crump and Jason L. Keith.
In a tweet, Crump called for accountability for the apartment complex manager.
'She has been arrested on two counts of simple assault — now she must be fully held accountable for her attack on these kids,' the attorney wrote.
Because, of course they have.
For kids back in the sane days, this was called “learning your lesson.”
You don’t slap a kid. If the child comes 1000 times, you call the cops 1000 times. Eventually the kid will tire of being hauled out by the cops.
You could sue the mother for reimbursement for each documented time the kid uses the pool.
Simple trespass turned into assault once the punk opened his yap.
Pouring the soda is one thing. Once you touch anybody, it’s over. You’re wrong frustrated or not. She should definitely be charged with assault and perhaps a lawsuit. Calling the police would have been the prudent answer. Afterall they ended up there anyway.
While the events within this article may be somewhat true, what makes this Fake News is that is is slanted Yellow Journalism designed to distort events, create conflict and controversy, and showcase white people as racists, fools, bigots and White Supremacists.
Not your pool kid. Not condoning the slap but in the olden days that’s a tickle.
Apparently per the article the brats grandma live next to the complex and tells the kids they can go to the pool. If something happens to those kids the complex will get suied
Absolutely nothing more.
And BTW...not a nickel to the kid for any kind of "civil rights" violations...or any other reason.
I do.
Kid could have been arrested. She soaked him with a soda and cuffed him. Parents should be thanking her like mine would have.
She hit him in the face with a Coke can several times.
Apartment living... I can’t imagine having to live in an apartment (Civilian barracks).
When my sons were in high school they were both in the play Fiddler on the Roof. One night they snuck out with the lead in the play and climbed over a fence to swim in a country club pool. They were taken into custody and brought before the desk sergeant. But it turns out that the desk sergeant had played Tevia when he was in high school. They all ended up singing the songs from the show. Then I got the call and they said that they were going to release my older son and his friend but didn’t know whether they could release our younger son who was 15. We said yes as long as they both came straight home. Fun memory.
