some pursuits in life are well attuned for success; trading riffs with Clapton has never been one of them...

You are a person of impeccable taste, dfwgator. I have about ten thousand albums in my collection. Every single Cracker album would be in my top 100. They are certainly a top-ten band for me. It’s amazing to me that they haven’t gained wider recognition over all these years.

It’s “Fallen Angel.” Peter Gabriel drums.
Love it!

When I was in Vietnam in 1968 we had only a dozen rock albums. The post exchange of course was always full of Country. But one of those dozen albums was Music From Big Pink. I must’ve heard it 200 times and never tried of it. I still listen to it from time to time. RIP, Robbie

Garth last man standing
Levon and Robbie can get back to arguing royalties now
Robbie could write a good Americana country rock tune for a Canadian

Damn. Just damn. I’ve always been a huge fan of “The Band,” and now their front man has passed away. Requiescat in pace, Robbie. You shall be relieved.

One of the greatest collaborations of the past century. A brilliant guy. Hope he was a believer.

The Last Waltz is one of my favorite “rockumentaries” - love that version of “The Weight.”

Excellent suggestion - we are always looking for a movie for Thanksgiving and “Planes, Trains and Automobiles” has been viewed too many times.
All of us are HUGE fans of “Last Waltz.”

Thanks for posting The Weight from The Last Waltz - I set it up on the dinner table and we all watched it.
Have a DVD somewhere of The Last Waltz - hope it didn’t get tossed...
