Does seem like cause for suspicion at least if the person who served up the poison shrooms (and presumably picked them) apparently did not eat any herself, and kept her children from doing so as well.

Australian police are seeking answers in connection to the poisoning of three people who died after eating wild mushrooms at a dinner served in Leongatha, Australia.
Now I wonder what kind of answers they are seeking .... seems pretty obvious ... calling Captain Obvious in behalf of Australian police.
