A major insurance company used keystroke technology on an employee’s work laptop to test whether she was working her designated hours — and it ended terribly for her.
The Fair Work Commission (FWC) has rejected an unfair dismissal application brought by former Insurance Australia Group (IAG) consultant Suzie Cheikho, finding she was fired for a “valid reason of misconduct.”
According to the commission’s published finding, Cheikho was responsible for creating insurance documents, meeting regulatory timelines, and monitoring “work from home compliance,” among other significant roles.
Ironically, her own work-from-home performance marked the end of her 18-year career with the company.
According to the FWC findings, Cheikho was fired on February 20 for missing deadlines and meetings, being absent and uncontactable, and failing to complete a task which caused the industry regulator to fine IAG.

Some people are lazy at home while others get more done without office distractions.
In ten years it’ll be irrelevant as all these work from home button pushers get replaced by cheaper and more reliable AI.
She is unbelievable unguilty.
She’s been w/ the co. for 18 years? What? Did she start in the 4th grade?
I worked at home for one month in February 2020.
I made breakfast. Did laundry. Went skiing on day. I did my job too. I am on straight commission too. So, I only get paid based on actually buying and selling something.
Basically, you have to be self motivated.
“I can’t imagine what people do at home while working.”
I work.
Mostly.

“She is unbelievable unguilty.”
She does look to have a lot of air between her ears.
Well who else tunes into CNN’s daily programming!??
AI plastic surgery?
Ya... She would be one I’d promise to go easy on, but shortly after she holds up her end of the bargain, I’d get up and open the door for the arresting officers... Heheheheheeeee!!
You can do whatever you want when you work from home, but you’d better meet your deadlines.
Looks like a Barbie doll. Lots of work there.
You may need to step back and reassess...here's a "wider" full-body pic:
Since she is now available, I might have a position for her ;)
Some people aren’t cut out for work-from-home because they lack discipline. This lady, in particular, fits that category.
I’ve been work-from-home since the Plandemic started, as well as others, and during that time I’ve noticed there are specifically two categories of people:
1) Those who are lazy or unable to manage themselves. They’re often hard to reach, miss deadlines, and to get any work at all out of them, you have to constantly stay on a call with them to make sure they’re working.
2) Those who are disciplined, work hard, and produce well. These are typically driven individuals who understand that work is a responsibility, and others depend on that work getting done in a timely manner. These people are typically very punctual and thorough in their work, and very capable of managing themselves.
Guess which of those two actually do well with work-from-home? Incidentally, my workplace has called most people back into the office, but a select few who live a certain number of miles away from office who meet expectations were given the option to continue WFH as long as performance keeps up. I fell into that category because I understand the value of work and the discipline needed to make sure the work assigned to me is done promptly and correctly.
Some people just lack good work ethic. These individuals are wholly incompatible with work-from-home. They view it as an entitlement. I see it as a privilege and a reward for doing hard work.
She looks remarkably plastic to me. Back when I was single, a woman with her appearance would make me think “high maintenance”.
Cheikho (love that name) is just the tip of the iceberg where you’re talking about a large population of entitled “work-at-home” females of a certain age. So hard to figure out what they actually are doing when they should be “keystroking” instead. Talk about creating a monster.

You could say she’s got it all
Work...work harder at home than in the office.
I did this back in the 90s to prove a secretary was logging off her computer 1/2 hour early and pretending to work. Canned her with full HR support.
you are probably right.
